NO RESERVE!!! You are bidding on a 1936 International Harvester Hot Rod Rat Rod, Street Rod, Rat Ride (or whatever you want to call it) Titled and licensed as a "Street Rod" in the state of Minnesota!! Title is in my possession with no leins and ready to be turned over to you once payment is completed. See MN state statutes at the following link for details on the "Street Rod" designation. https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/?year=2009&id=168.10 General: Engine: 402 big block Chevy, fed by a newer 750 Holley vacuum secondary carb. with electric choke, Cylinder heads recently rebuilt Transmission: TH400 (Turbo 400), with a new Lokar shift leaver with safety lockouts, new filter & pan gasket, custom made drive shaft with new u-joints Cooling: New aluminum radiator, new thermostat & new mechanical engine driven flex-a-lite fan driven by a new belt, Chassis: Custom built on a frame table with 2x4 steel tubing Steering: Manual gearbox, cowl steering Front Suspension: A new Mr. Roadster multi-leaf spring with all new mounting hardware, shackles and bushings. The trailing arms are 1950's Mercury if I remember right with new rod ends, spacers, bungs and hardware both on the axle end and on the swivel end. Friction shocks work good as long as you keep them tight. Rear Suspension: New triangulated 4 link with all new bushings and mounts. Two used Mazda Miata shocks with new Audi A6 H&R coil springs. Rear axle: Dana 60 with a open differential (no posi), not 100% sure of the gear ratio, I'm guessing 3.73 maybe? Front axle & spindles: 1937 Ford axle with 1937 Ford Spindles Front brakes: All parts are new: 11 inch GM rotors, big calipers, caliper plates, pads, wheel bearings and all hardware. Rear brakes: Original drums that came on the Dana 60 which are quite large and work very well. Wheels / Tires: Rear = GM 8 bolt 16.5 inch steel rims with like new radial tires, Front = 15 inch 5 on 4 3/4 bolt pattern steel rims with like new radial tires. Description: Turns heads wherever it goes, runs down the highway at 70mph with little effort. Car has about 300 miles since it was built, enough to work out most of the bugs. Never been hassled by any law enforcement in my area. Roof chopped 3.5 inches, new windshield frame with new safety glass, all wood in the cab was removed and replaced with steel support. Very nice custom made aluminum bomber seats with over 500 hand bucked rivets in each seat, custom risers match the seat, throw a cushion in them and they are surprisingly comfortable. New speedometer, oil pressure and water temp gauges that all work. Windshield wiper motor works. I am 6 foot tall 220 lbs and I fit comfortably. Most of the interior is lined with a dynamat type material that cuts down on road noise and engine/transmission heat considerably. Functional seatbelts and emergency brake. Some pics don't show the bed cover and rear IH badge that are currently installed. As for the engine stuff, good oil pressure, new custom made 2 inch headers wrapped in heat tape so the kids don't burn themselves. Holley 750 carburetor works great with a chrome fuel line and pressure gauge, a new low profile aluminum air filter sits on top of it. Low mount alternator bracket to keep the engine looking clean. New pan gasket and rear main seal. The exhaust runs through the frame with 2.5 inch tubing under the cab and into mufflers with interior baffles and Supertrapp discs behind that. Not too loud, but loud enough to be noticed if you get on the gas. The 3/8 fuel line is new aluminum with new rubber hose connections and includes a new mechanical fuel pump. New fuel tank is 12 gallons but not sure, a level gauge is located right on top of the tank. New HEI distributor cap and new spark plugs. Steering works very well with no bump steer. Excluding the rear drums, all brake system components are brand new including the manual master cylinder, tubing, adjustable proportioning valve, residual valves, stainless braided hoses and all fittings. The master cylinder is not power assisted but the vehicle stops on a dime with little effort on the pedal. The adjustable proportioning valve is located within easy reach of the driver. The chassis looks great with staggered lightening holes up front and reinforcement plates and gussets added throughout the chassis where necessary. Lightening holes were added to many other parts throughout the vehicle to enhance the looks. New headlight buckets and halogen bulbs, new rear brake/turn signals, the front turn signals are from a 1970's motorcycle, all lighting / blinkers / brake indicators / license lamp and electrical system work as they should. I do have some extra parts laying in the shop that go with it, window crank mechanisms and some other odds and ends. I also have quite a few receipts that go with it also. Any issues with it? With no hood, engine noises are more noticeable. The transmission vacuum modulator needs minor adjustment, the electric kick-down needs to be hooked up, I never bothered with them as I just shifted the transmission manually. The reverse band is just starting to show signs of wearing out but will last if you don't beat on it in reverse. The neutral safety switch should be hooked up. The pinion seal and differential cover leak a little but nothing major. Large bumps take some extra attention but nothing too out of the ordinary for a hot rod. No glass in the side and rear windows. Summary: This vehicle was built with safety in mind, the chassis, suspension, brake system and steering are all top notch. Understand that even though this may look like a pile of junk to the average person, this isn't a hacked up slapped together vehicle. It was intended to look this way yet retain safe qualities where it counts. However, since this is a used vehicle I have to add that in no way shape or form is there any kind of a warranty either expressed, written or implied with this vehicle. I encourage you to come and look at this vehicle prior to placing a bid. I have made every attempt to represent this vehicle to the best of my knowledge. I don't want to sound like a jerk but I expect you to know what you are buying before you bid, come and look... ask questions.... whatever... just don't show up after the auction and say it isn't what you thought it was, your winning bid is final. 3 years went into building and I'm sure you noticed in the description that many new parts were used. I take pride in my 100% feedback rating that I have held for many years on Ebay, bid with confidence. Sorry, I'm not looking for any trades. Bid to WIN!!: I hold the right to end this auction early as I have the vehicle listed for sale locally. Bids will be cancled if you have less than 97% feedback or less than 10 transactions. I really don't like non-paying bidders that much, if you don't intend to follow through on purchase then please don't bid. I will report non-paying bidders to Ebay and I may consider taking legal action if you do not follow through on your bid. Payment / Obtaining Vehicle: I require a $500 down payment sent to my Paypal account within 48 hours after the auction end and the remaining balance issued to me within 7 days of auction end. If no contact is made within 48 hours by the winning bidder I hold the right to re-list the vehicle, sell to the next high bidder, or sell otherwise. I prefer certified bank check for the remaining balance. I require that payment clears my bank account prior to me releasing the vehicle/title to you. I will also accept cash if you want the vehicle/title immediately however I wish to have the money inspected at my nearby bank for any counterfeit bills (yes this has happened to me before). You can pick up in person or I will assist with loading the vehicle if you decide to arrange shipment. Please don't take any of my payment requirements personally, I just want to be sure I get paid if you know what I mean.
