2000 Toyota Tacoma SR5 TRD Pennant Motors is pleased to present this really nice 2000 Toyota Tacoma SR5 TRD XtraCab. Tacomas have always had a reputation for legendary ruggedness and reliability. We recently acquired this truck in a lot-buy from an Audi dealership in upstate New York where it was recently traded in. We are selling it on an as-is basis as we have not had it inspected by a mechanic. We specialize in European vehicles, and this truck is beyond our realm of experience. The interior of the truck is in very nice shape. The seats and carpets are free of major stains and there are no bad odors. All accessories work including the Air Conditioning, CD Player, and Power windows and locks. There is a plastic trim piece missing from the bottom of the dash in the center. The outside of this truck is in remarkably good condition. The paint is very shiny as is the trim. It shows no accidents on CarFax, and it appears to carry all of its original paint. There is a small dent behind the rear bumper on the right side of the bed. It is visible in the pictures. The tires are very aggressive goodyears with tons of tread left. This truck has not been inspected by a mechanic! I have driven this truck around town, and will post my observations. The engine runs awesome, and the transmission shifts perfectly. The clutch feels great. The brakes feel good, and the steering feels fine. The truck feels very solid and tight. There is an exhaust leak. The air conditioning works, and the compressor engages. The stereo system works. All power options work. The bed has a professionally installed spray-in bedliner. There is no rust on the body of the truck. These trucks are notorious for frame rust issues. I crawled under the truck and looked at the visible parts of the frame. There are no visible holes, but the frame does have surface rust. I can not guarantee that the frame is totally rust-free. Toyota has extended the warranty on frame rust on these trucks to 15 years from the original in-service date. This means that if the frame should have rust issues any time before 2015, Toyota will either replace the frame or buy the truck from its owner for 150% of kelly blue book value. I advise that the new owner of this truck have the frame inspected by the Toyota dealership on a yearly basis. Please be patient while over 30 high-resolution photos load below.
