Vehicle Detail

Here is my 1966 Triumph for sale. I've owned this bike for the past 20yrs.The motor that was in the bike originally, broke a cam journal, so the motor was sold for parts. The bike has ben sitting for a while, and I started to put it back together with a motor my brother had shipped back from england after a vacation there. Some parts have got lost along the way, like the exhaust pipes and chain. But everything else is there. I have a box with many parts in it . The bike started life as a bonnieville, it has a bolt on hard tail, sportster tank, norton forks w/ disc. Everything needs a go through, I started by just cleaning things. The paint is brand new. Would make someone a very cool nostalgic bike. This is just how the bike looked when it was put together over 25 yrs ago. Incuded is the old pics. Good luck!On May-09-10 at 10:29:05 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had many questions about the motor and trans. So, let me clarify. The motor has been sitting for a while and I was'nt about to fire it up without inspecting the inners. I removed the head and cylinders with the intention of re-ringing the pistons and honing the cylinders. However you could buy new pistons and new rings on e-bay for less than $100.00. It would be wise to at least put new rings in it. The pistons are fine. Everything is there . I am 100% sure this motor is good. Anyone with a little mechanical no-how can get it running. Like I stated in the description, the only things missing are the exhaust pipes and the chain. This is a very cool old bike that you just dont see these days( no billet or fancy new parts) 100% vintage iron here. all old. The only reason I am selling, is I have three non running bikes right now. so I'm selling this to repair my other two ( a 1978 kz1000 z1r turbo and 1999 bourget python) I need all the help I can get, so BID, BID, BID. Thanks, JIM.On May-12-10 at 12:53:05 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had lots of questions about my bike, so i'll try to give all the info I know. I dont believe the motor is a 66, I'm pretty sure it is a 68-69. The title is clear florida as a 1966 triumph. It is a 650cc T120R with twin 930 amal carbs with velocity stacks,Motor is out of a bonnieville. Brand new upswept drag pipes are available on ebay for $189.00. A new cain is about $50-$75. Sprockets are in great shape, Gas tank is not internally rusted. Less than a year ago I paid $500 to have everything painted.(base+clear). It has battery delete capacitor( dont require a battery) new ignition switch and key.New foot peg rubbers and grips(w/triumph logo on all) kick start only super cool bike that i'm going to miss when she's gone Shipping is to be arranged buy the winning bidder, I will take it to a local shipping company in a truck ,or deliver within a couple hundred miles for a reasonable fee plus fuel expenses. Good luck. JIM
