Vehicle Detail

If you have ever been to a Porsche car show or thumbed through Excellence magazine you soon realize that the car that gets some of the most attention is the 1974 Porsche 911 RSR. This is the most sexy yet menacing car in the Porsche line-up. Only a few rare hand full of these cars exist today and are part of high-end collections or in museums. Not wanting to sell any of my kids or organs, I decided to do the next best thing, recreate that car! The car that was used was a 1980 non sunroof car (we all know how rare a non sunroof car of this vintage is). The car was sent over to TRE Porsche and the motor and trans were pulled. The 3 liter motor was completely gone through along with all upgrades and of course a new style A/C system was installed to keep you cool on those hot California days. All the work done at TRE was close to $20K and might I say, well worth it! When the motor was getting built, the body was sent out to be widened to RSR specs using all metal Porsche parts. Once the body was done, the car was given a complete inside and out paint job like the factory might have done it. This little bit of widening and paint ended up totaling a healthy but happy $15K. With the body work done and the motor and trans installed, it was off to the interior shop. The interior was redone in that vintage hounds tooth look. Since it has been completed there has been a little over 28K miles put on the car. The car looks and drives beautiful and can be used as a show car or a daily driver. My intention for this car was to ship it over to Germany where my wife and myself could be reunited with it and spend 3 months enjoying the countryside before shipping it home with us. I did not expect to sell the car, but I had an opportunity to purchase a super rare car that I’ve been trying to acquire for a couple of years, so this one and another one of my cars must go. I have set the reserve at a very low price to make sure the car sells. If you have any questions about this car please feel free to call me at (818) 802-7374. Thanks and good luck.
