Vehicle Detail

This is a 1969 Dodge Charger. This is a great car for some one looking for a great show cruiser or easy upgrade to a higher quality restoration. I built this car for Mike Sverid who lives in MI. He is a good friend of mine and we spent nearly two years every weekend on this baby. All rust except for a small spot on the hood was cut out and replaced with new metal from year one. The car has been his since Jan 1980 when he got it from Florida with 79600 mi. Someone had used it to put there boat in the salt water..which is why the rust was only in the rear. New quarter panels, trunk floor, quarter inners, and window surrounds are all new. We replace the rear seat floor pans as well. The rest of the car forward was solid...I guess they never used it for a submarine. Since being rescued from Florida it has spent most of it's life in storage. We began the restoration in 2000. Since we finished as much as you see it has probably been driven less than 2000 miles. I think the biggest trip was the Woodward cruise in Detroit. I have been doing paint and body work for 28 years. I have done many show vehicles and even received 2 firsts and a third at the Houston Auto Rama. I am not bragging just letting you know this is no hack job. There are a few parts that still need to be replaced. Fender turn signal housings, he has the lenses but the housings broke during dissasembly. The passenger side a pillar trim is also missing. These are by memory, if anything else is missing I will add it to the listing. This is hard to do because we both love this car but as a lot of people in MI right now money is tight so the car must go. The engine has been balanced and blue printed. I added an elderbrock performer kit of cam intake and carb. I also added the MSD Box for the ignition. It is plumbed for nitrous but has never been hit. With the few miles the car has been driven over the years the tank expired so it couldn't be filled if we wanted too. I think he is getting it recertified to at least know if it's still ok to use. This vehicle runs great and drives smooth. The interior is mostly stock except for the stereo. The seats have brand new upholsory from a shop in Dallas TX. I use the people I trust. The exterior is stock. The paint is of course plum crazy purple and it has a new vinyl top and a black R/T stripe. The tires and rims are new. The wheel of choice the Keystone Crager. It has new 2 1/2 inch dual exhaust system with a crossover pipe. I am trying to get this out quick so feel free to ask lots of questions, or even call me at 281-731-4211 or Mike at 269-921-8107. This is a great Charger but the house comes first. Adding the engine is a 440 and the trans is a 727 Torque flight. Also the trunk was previously repaired and still solid so we did not do the trunk floor just the extentions to the quarters. The rear end is a 9 1/4 ring gear and 456 posi.
