Vehicle Detail
I am looking at selling my 1974 Datsun 260Z. I have already done almost all the body work on the car itself. The entire car has been rustproofed from the inside out before any rust started to form. It has the fiberglass front bumper and rear along with the fiberglass side flares already installed. The grill does need a little fabrication work done yet but That is due to the way the front supports are routed. The motor runs great although the twin hilbourne carbs are a pain to set up. I usually get them set right then the temperature changes and then have to adjust them again. I think I'd look into put regular weber carbs on it as the hilbournes are hydraulically filled. The transmission is great with never any trouble. It also does have a new rear wing installed. I've got every nook and cranny piece for the interior of the car including all the crome, original bumper(front and rear), spare, 74 owners manual, all kinds of books and detail parts. I was getting ready to paint it soon so it is close to being finished. The tires are in great shape although they are at least 17 years old. I bought this car from a friend of mine who stored it in his garage for 16 years(that's why no mileage) figuring I could finish the car and sell it to buy what I really wanted. An injury has stopped my working on cars and so my dream will have to wait longer. I have a bunch of underside pics now. It has a heavy underbody coating with no rust anywhere. I did forget to mention a few things. Installed already are new: spark plugs, fresh oil and filter, coolant, upper and lower radiator hoses, newly rebuilt fuel pump, and belts. These are just a few of the latest things I've done to it.
