The Cadillac Allante you are bidding on here today is unlike anything i have yet seen offered here on eBay or anywhere else for that matter EVER. If your thinking of buying an Allante- Do yourself a favor and compare the interior and exterior of this car with any other listed here or elsewhere and see if you can tell the difference. The interior of this Allante has been upgraded as per the specifications and guidelines for the Indianapolis Pace Car Edition Cadillac with the official Indy 500 brass badge located on the center console (see pic) not to mention light burl wood accents on the futuristic digital dash display and matching wood for the steering wheel. Also, there is red piping on either door and on the center console and custom floor mats that matches the cars original exterior paint. This interior is worthy of the timeless, one of a kind exotic design of the Indy Pace Car Edition exterior. If you were to compare This Allantes exterior with any other you would see the upgraded custom chrome 18 inch Cadillac wheels which cost $2500.00 and are ten times better looking then the hum drum wheels it originally came with. This Allante has happily aged very well in comparison to others and has been well kept in every possible way a car can. The engine of this Allante is the upgraded 32 valve Northstar system (which only came with the 1993 Allantes) with a $600.00 horsepower upgrade chip which adds 70 more HP to the entire engine. ALL engines prior to the 1993 are much less powerful and are known to be quite difficult to repair. Shes has been driven only about 5,000+ miles per year and properly maintained by a professional Allante mechanic .The engine of this Allante along with all other major components have been rebuilt and cost about $5,100.00 in 2002. Any car 17 years old+ no matter the miles should get a complete overhaul in my opinion during it's lifetime. To not do so is like tempting fate. Everything works wonderfully (as if new) and it has lots of ferocious power and speed to spare. It should be noted that Although the interior gage says 112,000 miles -ACTUAL engine miles after rebuild are now about 50,000 You simply cannot beat he fact that this is a Cadillac engine with related American components that are still widely available. If any thing were to go wrong it's so easily and cheaply repairable at any quick lube if ever necessary. This Allante get looks and attention where ever it goes.I'm constantly stopped and asked questions about it. Just the other day while parked at the post office someone followed me to the car and made me an offer. My father, who was a car fanatic even managed to have his Allante pace car edition SIGNED (he always went out of his way to do that) by the designer thanks to brief meeting some 15+ ago at an auto function in Detroit. (please note signed plaque on dash picture) Bottom line here is- Why own a run of the mill, standard Allante that anyone can own -when you can be behind the wheel of the rarest of all Allantes ( Indy 500 pace car spec edition) besides being very rare, this is also an investment that will keep it's value and is forever a part of automotive history. I am quite sad to see her go but I'm moving shortly and have no further garage space to keep her and so many others I've collected throughout the years. I refuse to leave her open to the outdoor elements.(shes has always been garaged) This Allante has a VERY VERY low reserve price that's far BELOW current market value and even some "decent" representations of the Allantes previously listed here on eBay. You wont be waisting your time bidding on an over priced car. This Allante is priced to sell. When purchasing a used car- I really believe its important to be as up front as possible. Many people selling used cars and trucks are silent or reluctant about mentioning what problems the car may or may not have, leaving you the buyer making very costly repairs AFTER the purchase. ENTERTAINMENT: factory CD and cassette player with awesome sound! MISC: truly amazing sounding exhaust, chrome tail pipes, all Indy pace car decals in terrific condition, custom floor and trunk mats with red piping to match exterior color. wood dash and steering wheel, red accents, Indy 500 brass interior badge, head rest Cadillac script. ALARM: automatic start, kill button, automatic gas door opener, door lock unlock,trunk opener. Because this is a used 17 year old car-one should not expect perfection upon viewing. It is imperfect BUT in completely terrific condition for it's age or any other as it has been garage kept and well maintained beyond what most people even bother to do.
