1980 Suzuki GS

Here is your chance to own a piece of Motorcycling history, yes a GS1100E, Nice Survivor. Basically stock. excellent runner. Paint is OK but has many chips on the front fender and several spots where the stripping has chipped off. the chain and sprockets are great. new tires. Pingel valve. stock air box and stock exhaust(worth several hundred alone) seat is excellent. the MOTOR RUNS PERFECT BUT MAKES A "WHIRRING" NOISE. The bike starts perfectly and runs perfect, burns no oil it just makes a weird whirring noise near the alternator. I don't know much about it and it hasn't affected anything, but that is why it is being sold as a project bike. I have owned the bike for about five years and put 5000 miles on it. The noise started last year out of the blue. I thought of parting the bike but it is a very nice bike whole and may have an easy solution to the noise. We will see if it sells. Bike is for sale locally as well so I reserve the right to cancel the auction. Will happily work with your shipper.
