Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1941 Cadillac 62 series De luxe sedan. This vehicle was recently acquired from a lovely woman in Massachusetts. She said she was the second owner and had purchased the vehicle from the original owner on April 21, 1969. She indicated that she and the original owner were friends and when the elderly gentleman could no longer drive he sold the vehicle to her so she could take him around town. She paid $150 for the car in 1969. The registration was renewed in May of 1971 and was good until the last day of April 1973. Sadly the man passed in 1971 and shortly after the Cadillac was driven into a garage where it has sat untouched since. I had the vehicle towed with a flatbed to its new location until it finds a new home. A clear title from Massachusetts will be issued to high bidder. This vehicle is a 1941 62 series Cadillac 41-6219D 5 passenger sedan Deluxe. I believe only 7754 of these were produced with an original price tag of $1585. Pictures will help tell the story but other than having it towed, I have not touched it or have attempted to turn it over. Everything on the car is original to the best of my knowledge. All knobs, trimmings, logos, ornaments, chromes etc look original. The vehicle has MATCHING numbers. The left side frame bar near steering gear has # 8344564. The crankcase has *8344564* on it as well as another set of numbers perpendicular to those of 8F10247. After sitting for 37 + years many items will need freshening, reconditioning, replacing or restoring. Below are some bullet points about condition, paperwork and notes regarding the car. 1973 Inspection sticker on windshield Original Mass.
