Up for auction is a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 428 Cobra Jet R code, rust free car with candyapple red paint and numbers matching drivetrain. This mustang comes with a clear Illinois title and also a deluxe marti report. It is a rust free car with original floors, frame rails, and torque boxes as well as all the fender aprons. This is highly unusual for most mustangs as they tend to have significant rust in these spots. The reason is this car spent most of its life in Georgia protected from the elements. The car has to the best of my ability numbers matching drivetrain as you can see from the pictures the vin is stamped on the engine and the transmission. The vin number is also present on the driver side fender apron, please see the pictures attached. The underside of the car is finished in the correct red oxide finish with the correct factory exhaust. Great detail was paid to make the car as clean as possible to be able to take to local car shows, but also not drag it along on a trailer. As you can see from the pictures attached you can still see most of the factory spot welds along the underside of the car proving that this is untouched. The drivetrain was gone through and rebuilt to specs. The rearend still has the N case and posi unit as you can see from the pictures. Also the four speed transmission was broken apart and completely rebuilt with top notch parts. The engine received a complete rebuild and runs really strong and healthy. When you get on this pony it will plant you firmly in your seat. All steering and suspension was completely rebuilt and handles like a dream. This is a power brake car and power steering. The power steering was not a factory option but was added to ease driving conditions on todays crowded roads. The power steering that was added is a factory option installed so it is period correct. The interior was all redone with top notch products and shows really well. All electrical works and functions as normal. Tires are almost new and only have a couple of hundred miles on them. The paint and body is really nice and looks fantastic as you can see from the pictures. It has a fantastic shine and deep reflection. I used to take this car out on the weekends to the local car shows and cruise nights so it is not perfect show car paint but it is really nice. This car was built to drive and not be a trailer queen.
