1966 volkswagen beetle For sale is a sweet custom '66 VW bug waiting for someone to put their finishing touches into it. This rare '66 has a sunroof thats perfect for the upcoming summer days with a brand new motor that's ready to take on the open road... I started this project a few years back and just never got around to finishing it. To start out this bug is a cal look bug with a sunroof. I put on a front adjustable beam to give it that most popular look and lowed it in the rear. The bug is sitting on black 5 spoke EMPI 15in wheels with 135R15's in the front and 165R15's in the rear. With chrome EMPI running boards and a black roof rack the car sits mean. All stock gauges and radio remain inside to keep it looking stock. Inside the dash sits a Sony Explode cd player with two 6x9 Pioneer speakers behind the front seat and two 8in. Kenwood subs behind the back seat. The stereo was hooked up to a switch underneath the dash to turn it on and off. The car was converted over to a 12 volt system. Roller gas pedal, Hurst short throw shifter, GT Grant steering wheel, Auto Meter 8000 RPM tach, and low back bucket seats really make you feel like you're inside your own personal race car. One piece windows up front and rear pop out windows in the rear are perfect for those warm summer days! I even added a set of blue Street Glow lights underneath for at night that really set the bug apart! As far as the pan and floor boards this bug is rust free. The sunroof opens and closes with no leaks. The motor is a very strong brand new 1915cc with less than 200 miles since being installed. pretty much everything on the motor is brand new with easily over $3,200 into it. A set of new dual EMPI 44 hpmx give it great throttle response. Brand new BMD serpentine belt system makes it real efficient. New 75 amp high out put alternator. Brand new battery. New Engle 110 performance cam. Merged header with DynoMax Fatboy muffler. High flow with new heavy duty oil pump along with externally mounted K&N oil filter. Brand new oil cooler along with external oil cooler for extra cooling. New electronic fuel pump. And almost all tins are brand new as well. The deck lid has quick release pins to take it on and off easily which is great for driving around so everyone can see the motor! What the car needs in order for it to be finished would pretty much be a few things along with paint and body work. It could use new window seals in the front and door seals. The blinkers do not work. As for the paint and body work, the front apron and deck lid has paint chipping, along with front quarter panel on the driver side and passenger side and both doors. The driver side door probably has the worst of it with a dime size rust hole (can easily be replaced with a new door). Some paint is also chipping on the roof. The rear deck lid has holes in it where the stock license plate used to be. Over all the cars body has no major dings or dents and is pretty straight for the most part. with paint and body work, this could be a very nice and quick reliable everyday driver.
