Vehicle Detail
1968 Dodge / Mopar A108 Van with a Family Wagon Conversion. Built in Irwindale, California by Family Wagon Compact Equipment Co. It is model #643, and vin #27 on their build plate. This is a chance to buy something very "Rare, Nostalgic, Cool & Vintage with a Ton of Original Patina to go with it!" Comes with a great running 210HP 318 Engine and Automatic Transmission with Factory Shifter on the Dash. Always starts right up easy, and doesn't smoke or leak oil. Runs and shifts smoothly (Watch the video of it driving down the road.) Has recent oil & filter change, new spark plugs, air filter, etc.. Water Temp runs cool, and has Excellent Oil Pressure. Perfect cruiser for Car Shows, or Camping and Fishing trips. Stops good with the current brakes that are on it. Excellent front end and front end alignment. The only thing I can think of that it needs is the LT 235-15 tires are dated and a little flat spotted from sitting, good tread but should be replaced soon with new ones, and the heater core has been bypassed. Very Clean and Original Southwest rust free body. Still has its original paint! (has light surface rust where the paint has wore off - very minor - super clean underneath too! Still has original paint in the fender wells, and has never been undercoated!) No body work ever with the exception of one small area on the passenger door about 6X6 spot very minor by the lower door hinge. Has good glass all around, even has the windows you can twist open to let air circulate in, and I have the screens to the windows and they are in great shape too! Has the original oldie playing AM radio with the original antenna still intact and it works great! All the lights work, including the front and rear dome lights, turn signals, head lights, flashers, etc... Wiring is in good shape, wipers work, but fan blower motor does not. Very nice dash, with all working gauges and gauge lights too! Nice seats with no rips or tears, new front headliner installed with installation. Nice looking and well sorted interior. Pop -Up Top works perfect with no issues. Just undo the hold down straps and push it up. When it is up you have a built in fold out cot on each side..all you do is pull em out (VERY COOL!) Original cot material is old but Original! Original canvas top is still good with a couple flaws in the mostly top left front corner, and the screens have a couple tears from years of use and normal wear, but still very usable. Has new carpet professionally installed throughout the entire van, and then we took it to the best wood working shop in town to have the New Cabinets made like the originals that came with the Family Wagon Conversion, in a sealed Maple veneer. They turned out Fantastic!! It has built in wood roll up doors for closet and storage area, built in ice box, sink with running water (pump handle with water container and facet you can connect from the outside too.) Has 110ac outlets that work to run electric appliances, blow dryers, heater, etc... Has propane stove (works but not hooked up.) Storage built in all over, with drawer for towels, and silverware, built in spice rack, paper towel holder, and built in table that folds out or folds in for easy access. (also have pictures of the cabinet being built available.) PICTURES ARE WORTH A 1000 WORDS AND I HAVE OVER 180 PICTURES YOU CAN LOOK AT PLUS TWO VIDEOS TO WATCH!!
