Vehicle Detail

2005 solid black Suzuki GS500F Only 4900 miles Professional black paint job Custom air vents Custom turn signals Painted muffler Runs great No performance changes Mechanically everything on the bike is stock Oil changed with OEM Suzuki engine oil 60 MPG I’ve really enjoyed owning this motorcycle. GS500’s have been around for decades and are known as fun, fuel efficient and reliable vehicles. Why I like the paint job: In 2004 Suzuki released the GS500F as a sportbike. This motorcycle borrows its headlight from the GSX-R and has very nice looking fairings. The main thing that gives away that a GS500F is not a more expensive/fast bike is the poorly designed factory paint job / stickers. Look at a few pictures of GS500F motorcycles (Especially 2004-2005). Notice that the color / designs for many of the front fairings don’t match the tank and/or rear fairings very well. Compare to other bikes if needed, i.e. GSX-R, CBR, Ninja). Being painted a solid color is a real improvement over the factory paint job/ stickers. The previous owner was an employee of a body shop, and did all enhancements to the motorcycle. It looks glossy, shiny, and mirror like as it should, unlike some aftermarket paintjobs. Custom vents: When you paint a GS500F a solid color you end up with a really plain looking fairing. More expensive sport bikes require vents for better airflow. The one thing the poorly designed factory paint job does is hide the fact that the GS500F is lacking some eye appeal in vent department. This was solved by adding some stick on vents to the motorcycle. Of course they are painted in a way that they look like part of the bike. Turn Signals: The arrow turn signals are pretty cool. As many of you know, people often disregard motorcycle turn signals (If not the motorcycle all-together). In case someone lacks the good knowledge that the light flashing indicates that you are to go in that direction, these add an additional element. People now have an arrow indicating the direction you intend to go. The holes for the original turn signals were filled in, in a way that you can hardly tell they were ever there. Spines on the tank: These have became popular way to add dimension to your tank. Most however have some silly picture or something that devalues the bike to anyone that doesn’t share your tastes. These are painted with the rest of the bike and blend into the tank in a tasteful way that anyone would like. Muffler: The ugly aluminum foil looking cover was removed and the muffler was painted a solid color using high temp paint. It compliments the motorcycle nicely and definitely beats the original look any day. Also because it is still the original muffler and has not been modified it will still meet any local restrictions in place for your location. Mechanically: The bike runs great. Clutch shifts properly, engine sounds like it should. I changed the oil when I first got it. As you can see by the miles I haven’t had to change it again. I wouldn’t hesitate to jump on it and drive across country ... If you know how to drive, you won’t have any trouble driving it home. Where else can you find a GS500F this tastefully modified that is still mechanically stock? (People who add performance modifications tend to treat a vehicle more harshly). Good luck, this is the only one I’ve seen so far. I’m more than happy to show anyone the bike that wants to look. Just give me a days notice so I know to ride it to work that day. I think you might be tempted to bid higher if you come see it for yourself first. Responsible test rides only. Please bring someone else if you don’t know how to ride. You break it, you buy it.On May-04-10 at 17:14:17 PDT, seller added the following information: Thanks for looking everyone. This is the second time I'm listing this because someone "accidentally" bid $10,000 the last time I put it for sale. (I bet they meant to bid that, and then realized they didn't have that much money :D ) Yes the bike runs perfect. Test drives are welcome if you know how to drive and can drive responsibly. Here are some more pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/49901837@N02/ Let me know if there is anything else you want a picture of and I will try to add it to the album. Please do not send me rediculous offers. Although I listed this with no reserve, I do know what it is worth. Thank You!
