Vehicle Detail

1981 930 Turbo Pacific Blue over rare red and black leather interior. 54,700 original miles. Vin# WPOZZZ93ZBS000349 This 3.3L Turbo puts out! 350 Horsepower to the crank shaft and 302 horsepower to the rear wheels. All Porsche HP are rated at the crankshaft. US models make 282 HP, European models 300 HP. This car is making 350HP at .08 bar and is equipped with an adjustable waste gate. New K27/7200 Turbo charger, rebuilt modified waste gate for adjusting boost. Cockpit mounted adjustable boost knob, new GHL stainless steel headers with heat exchangers. New stainless steel muffler with dual 3"outlets, new updated timing chain tensioners (oil fed) with new cases, timing chains and gears. All new gaskets and seals on motor that needed replacing. Motor is dry as a bone-no oil leaks. New alternator, belts, heater hoses, oil lines and brake lines. New Yokahama AVS ES tires. I have fixed or replaced everything that needed to be done over the last four years. I have spent well over $13,000.00 in parts and labor as I had planned on keeping this car forever. Things have changed and the car must go. This car is VERY, VERY fast. You can dial in the power you want with with the adjustable boost knob. It rides great and handles like a 930 should ( with your right foot.) This 930 has incredible brakes. I have owned three other Porsches and driven countless others and this car's brakes are leagues beyond the others. A word of caution: This car is not for the inexperienced driver. It can get away from you very quickly, but if you can drive a rear engine car, this 930 is poetry in motion. It puts a smile on your face, while the hair on the back of your neck is standing up straight! The paint is very nice, not a 10. There are some stone chips on the hood and rear flares. These can't be avoided on all 911s or 930s that are driven. There is no rust and no dents. The car is straight and has never been hit. New updated headlights and new rear brake light bezels. The interior is in very nice shape. It is all leather including the dash. The head liner is excellent with no sagging or tears. The sunroof works perfectly. There are two small flaws. The driver's seat has a seam that is starting to unravel and needs to be stitched and the leather dash has a slight bulge on the passenger side by the defroster vent. Both are very minor but I want to be honest. All original glass. I have the original steering wheel, head lights and turbo that will go with the car. Also two boxes of small parts that have been replaced: nuts, bolts, sensors, switches, clamps, seals, chain tensioners and cases, and tons of other small parts that you can see were replaced. They add up fast. This 930 is a great solid driver that I would drive across the country with no concerns. I went just far enough on the performance upgrades, so the car is still very dependable, always starts, runs cool, runs on pump gas, but will still pin you to the seat. Once the big turbo kicks in this car is gone! 50 Horsepower over stock is the perfect number of horsepower for this vehicle. The NADA classic car guide lists this car at low book $20,700.00 average book $25,500.00 and high book $30,900.00 My reserve is set somewhere between low book and average. I am into this car for $38,000.00, do I think I am going to get my money back? No. These cars are a labor of love. Any of these 80's air cooled Porsches are going to need all the work done that has already been done to this car. I have been down this road before so I know from experience. I am pricing this car to sell with a very reasonable reserve. Someone will get a great car for a great price. Please ask any questions before bidding, I am happy to answer. A deposit of $500.00 is due within 48 hours of the auction's end. The remainder is due within 7 days in the form of cash or certified bank check. This car is going to be listed locally so I reserve the right to end this auction early.
