You are bidding on a 1972 Monte Carlo. Mechanical: 500 miles on complete rebuild of original motor and transmission. Runs beautifully and newly recharged A/C blows cold. I replaced front sway bar bushings and rear springs when I rebuilt the motor. Body: Will need body work to fix rust in quarter panels, lower fenders, under vinyl top and trunk floor. Interior: Only thing not original to the car is recovered front seat (recovered with OEM upholstery in the 80s). Interior needs cleaned - looks like a 164,000 mile driver. Rear package tray needs replaced. I've known this car for almost 30 years. It was sold new at Marshall Chevrolet in Winchester, IL. I bought it from the 2nd owner (my friend's dad) in 2004. He had bought it from the original owner in 1974 and used it for a daily driver until he put it in storage in 1991. When I bought it I removed the motor and tranny and rebuilt them. Car has about 500 miles on rebuild - in fact it still has the break-in oil in the motor. I hate to sell this car as it has sentimental value but I need to move it to create some space.
