This is the CAR STUDEBAKER should have built, it would have been a direct competitor with the early 2 seater Ford T Bird and the Chev. Corvette. They drew it up but didn't build it, to bad! a lot of people would have enjoyed it. Here's you chance! Look at the pictures, this is a solid car. Excellent paint, upholstery in grey and white is just ok ,not show quality, car has been up dated with GT dash ect. 12 volt electrics The car's actual mileage its unknown , due to a broken odometer in the speedometer,it was broken prior to my purchase.Speed needle works but reads fast.. The frame and body have been shortened 15 1/2",an X member was installed in the frame. This is a vehicle for 2 or 3 people, lots of room ,but no rear seat. 105" wheelbase. The car comes with a removeable metal top , orginal roof was shorten and modified to fit, bolts on with 4 bolts, it some needs finish work. Engine is a later model full flow 289 block and heads that was rebuild ( rings & bearings ) Edlebrock 4 barrel carb. Avanti intake manifold. Electronic distributer.The transmission is a Chev. 350 turbo, rear end is a 8 inch Ford. It has a disk brakes installed on the frontend.I rebuilt the front suspension, has new spindle bushings & bearings also new upper and lower rubber bushings for the A arms, new front shocks and new rear shocks,it rides little rough due to shorten front springs ( to get the look). Bumpers are in fair condition, in order to show this car the bumpers should be replaced. I will sell this car with the Mustang Bullitt Wheels and tires at the buy it now price,as shown in the pictures. But if it sells at just the reserve price they will be removed and the car is sold with Chrysler Wire style wheels and tires. ( Note: I place a value of $700.00 on the Bullitt Wheels and tires. ) I purchased this car about 4 to 5 years ago from the orginal builder in Spokane, Washington and drove it approx. 2000 miles to St. Louis, Mo. Only problem a loose fan belt. P.S. I had new duel exhaust install also. Fly into the St. Louis, Mo. airport I can pick you up and you can drive it home. Or if your going to theStudebaker car meet at Southbend, In. on May 7th and 8th I can deliver it to you there for no charge. But must be paid for in full, prior to leaving my property. I live about 100 miles south of the St. Louis airport.
