As I write this ad, I feel like I’m having an anxiety attack and some of the most twisted emotions one could ever imagine. When I purchased this car awhile back, I had full intentions of building this car the exact way I wanted it and the way Porsche should have built it to ad to my collection. The last thing I could have imagined was selling it so quickly after so much hard work has gone in to it. But I was given the opportunity to purchase my dream of all dream cars so this one must go. The hard part about selling this car is that all the time that has gone in to it. First the hunt (you know you just can’t buy a Porsche from anybody). After the long tiring search, I found a car that was owned for the last 25 years by the same California owner. The car was in beautiful driving condition, all it needed was a little TLC. The original 2.4 liter motor was removed along with the 915 transmission. The motor was replaced with a 3.2 liter Euro Spec. along with an original 915 limited slip transmission with factory cooler. (We all know how rare this combination is)… I do have a 2.4 liter CIS motor that is fully rebuilt with all upgrades with only Dyno time on it that will be available for purchase to the new owner of this vehicle (I will include a picture of the motor). This motor is not part of the auction. With the car running and driving the way it should, it was time to bring it over to the body shop where the glass was pulled and the car was blocked out and repainted the original 131-8-2 Light Ivory. The car was then color sanded and buffed to a beautiful finish and then sent over to the interior shop. After the new headliner was installed, the windows were reinstalled using new weather striping (this is the way the factory does it). The interior was then redone in black with hounds tooth inserts along with French stitching on the dash. The whole interior was made to look period correct. The Fuch wheels were then sent out to be striped and custom polished to a mirror like finish, and new tires were installed. The electric sunroof still works good after all these years, just touch the button and let the beautiful summer breeze in. This car is the perfect car for long or short cruises but would be most at home sitting on the lawn at a car show. I have set the reserve at a very low price to make sure the car sells. As with any car of this vintage you will always have to spend some time tinkering with something, The 2 things the car does need is when the updated motor and trans was put in the speedometer was also changed. Because it went from cable to electronic the lead wire from the trans to the odometer was never installed, so this needs to be done. The other thing is the stereo antenna is not working. I will do my best to fix both of these before the car is picked up, but for bidding purposes please consider these as not working. Thanks and good luck.
