At the end of the sale this car will go to the highest bidder no matter what the price is...You are looking at my 62 Galaxie 500 convertible, This car has new original color Talon black 2 stage paint with a very clean, ZERO RUST straite body. The top is about 2 years old and originally was white but black looks so good. The power moters in the convertible work great and have no issues. The wheels and tires are new with only about 800 miles on them, the fronts are 18" and the backs are 20". This car has been lowered about 4" in the front and rear and still has that great smooth Galaxie ride to it. Last summer we took it on a 1600 mile drive down route 66 and the car did great. The engine is the original 292 v-8 2 barrell carb that averages 17 mpg on the hi way. I replaced the points distributor with a MSD electronic one for the dependibilaty. The transmission is the Original 3 speed automatic cruisomatic that shifts great and the fluid is very clean. The interior is all original and in amazing condition with new carpet, I had the dash and other inside trim repainted due to fading. I replaced the front windshield about 2 hundred miles ago, If you know the 62 Galaxies you also know how hard to find and the high prices on the front windshield when you do get it. I also replaced the front windshield weatherstrip. All the stainless is in amazing condition and highly pollished, I had the front grill anodize taken off and pollished along with the headlight bezels. The front and rear bumpers are in like new condition. The car has power drum brakes that work great. Highbidder will not be disapointed with this rare find.
