1976 Honda Goldwing GL1000 – A Classic Beauty! These were the first “big” bikes that started it all, and this is a beautiful example of them! Everything on it is stock; it is in excellent condition and has always run great. The only thing that was added is an after-market dip-stick to check the oil, because I didn’t like looking in the little window to check the level. But, I have the original oil plug so you can re-install it if you want. In 1975 the first Goldwings were introduced by Honda, so this is the second year they were in existence. This was before the time of the Goldwings with all the flaring! It’s been registered as a historic vehicle and has a 1976 New York state license plate. Every time I take it out for a ride I get compliments. I’m only the second owner and still have the original owner’s manual and tool kit! The bike has about 34,000 original miles on it. The tires are a few years old, the battery is less than 2 years old and has been maintained on a trickle charger. The carbs were completely rebuilt and adjusted in 2008, with no use on them since then. There are many extras and parts that I have picked up through the years, including: a complete nylon cover, oil, air & gas filters, spark plugs, cables, horn, fuel & oil pumps, brake pads, 4 helmets, spare muffler (needs some welding), luggage rack, leather saddle bags, Clymer repair manual, and more. This is a collector’s item in exquisite condition. I have not ridden it all last year and not that much the year before. It was serviced and winterized in 2008 and I did not even start it in 2009, as such, she is being sold as is. Since I do not use it anymore, I figure I’d give someone else the opportunity to have her who will appreciate her!
