BELOW I HAVE LISTED ALL THE SOURCES THAT VERIFY THE MILES LISTED. .Fifth Avenue Auto Sales is offering up for auction this 1998 Volkswagen Jetta TDI Sdn with a 5 speed manual transmission. I sell mostly domestic cars and trucks and have started playing with some Volkswagens, since there is a VW and Audi tuning shop just up the street from my location. I recently purchased a group of 5 vehicles from a local dealer three of the vehicles were VW'S, and one of them is this TDI. I do not have much knowledge about these diesel Jetta's, but I do know that they get extremely good fuel mileage and go for a long time! What I do know about the car is that it does shift smoothly and all the gears work well, the clutch feels strong and grabs just off the floor. When you key up the ignition the glow plug light comes on briefly and then is ready to start, after starting the engine I did not notice any excessive smoke. I would also like to let you know that the airbag light is on. The exterior of the car has a very nice shine and shows just very minor exterior wear on the paint finish. Under the hood is clean and does not show any signs of leaking fluids, I believe that there might have been a cover on the top of the engine, but was not on at the time of my purchase. I was surprised to see the miles on a car of that age! I can tell that the miles were verified by the previous owner, Autocheck, and given a Carfax buyback guarantee! I am offering a photo of the title showing the miles verified by the Pa. Department of Transportation As you can see from the photos the car has a rust issue,the main problem spots are the drivers side floor and also the drivers side strut tower. I wanted to take mutiple photos and disclose everything we are aware of. I believe there is somebody out there that would have no problem repairing these issues, we here at Fifth Avenue just are not set up for these type of repairs. I will be selling it with a very fair reserve! Please do not call and request ending the auction early! The car will be sold as is and the winning bidder will be required to make a deposit of $1000.00 with in 24 hours at the end of the auction.
