ENGINE NOT RUNNING. Located in Central Illinois. 45 minutes South of Champaign, Illinois THIS IS A 2002 JEEP LIBERTY SPORT FOR PARTS OR POSSIBLE REPAIR? LAST YEAR THE ENGINGE WENT DEAD ON ME. JUST WENT OUT TO START IT UP AND IT WOULDN'T TURN AT ALL. HAD IT TOWED IN TO THE MECHANIC AND IT HAD THE HEADS REBUILT AND A TUNE UP ALONG WITH A FRONT END ALIGNMENT. THE HEAT HAD GONE OUT TOO AND THEY FIXED THAT. THEN JUST THIS LAST DECEMBER WHILE DRIVING AND SWITCHING FROM 4WHEEL DRIVE THE ENGINE WENT DEAD FOR THE SECOND TIME. THE MECHANIC SAID THAT IT WAS A POSSIBLE SPUN BEARING/BLOCK PROBLEM?? CRANK WON'T TURN. IN ANY CASE IT WAS GOING TO EITHER NEED A NEW ENGINE OR FIXING THIS ONE WAS GOING TO BE TOTALLY EXPLORATORY. The body of this jeep is in fairly good condition. In the pictures shown the jeep is real dirty. Since it is not running I wasn't able to get it cleaned up at all. Inside and out definately need to be cleaned up. But, it looks pretty nice when it is. It does have a pretty good stratch on it from when the kids basketball hoop fell on it, I have a pic of it, but it doesn't show up too good. it is just a stratch though not a big dent. I loved my Jeep sorry it broke down and I do not have the resources to fix it up. I would like to buy a new egine for it, if I had the ability to install it myself, but we don't.
