Vehicle Detail

For sale is my 1991 Mustang GT. I purchased this car a few years back with the intention of turning it into a drag car and was never my daily driver. Unfortuanately, it just never seemed as though it was meant to be as we underwent the crisis with the market which tied up most of my available funds and now that things are back to normal I just found out my wife and I are expecting our first child, so needless to say, the toys need to go. My loss is your gain as I have put a lot of work into fixing this car up. I purchased this car wrecked and redid the body by welding a new rear quarter panel on it ( seamlessly ), put a new door, and front fender on it. There is not a single bit of bondo or rust on this car at all ( which as you know is pretty rare for a fox body mustang ). It has been garage kept so there isn’t even any rust under the hatch or anywhere. The car has 97k actual miles on the body and the motor has about 10k on it, as it was one of the first things I did when I purchased the car. There are no leaks on the motor, tranny or rearend. Below is a list of the modifications that are on the car. I have started this auction cheap and with no reserve as I need it sold, but has been listed locally for $4k. Over all ( Despite its looks ), its a very good car. Interior is in very good shape ( No rips, tears or stains to carpet, seats or interior ). Engine is in great shape, with no mechanical problems and runs and drives very nice. Exterior is very straight with absolutely no rust. The Good: Ported Cobra Upper and Lower Intake, C&L Intake Elbow 70mm Throttle Body 36lb Injectors255L Waldo Fuel Pump K&N Box Filter ( Per Muscle Mustangs and Fast Ford, dyno results show better gains with the stock box than an open element filter ) BBK Equal Length Headers Mac Prochamber Flowmaster Tailpipes 3.55 Gears Extended Wheels studs in the rear for Slicks Welded Torque Boxes Welded Subframe Connectors Pro 5.0 Shifter Solid D&D Upper and Lower Control Arms Autometer C2 Gauges ( Tach, Boost, Nitrous, A/F ) Center console relocation panel ( to added gauges ) Nitrous control panel under ashtray door ( Yes, the ash tray door is still fully functional! ) Rear seat delete ( Which still needs bolted down as I was planning on adding a cage before I did this ) Battery relocation kit with Taylor box * I know Im missing something for the parts list, but as you know, when you do stuff over time you tend to forget little odds and ends… The Bad: ( Note these are not big problems, just things I hadn’t gotten around to since money had been tight for the last year ). Needs new paint and trim Four tires Door handle for Drivers door and linkage ( Have one in my garage but haven’t seen it in a year so I cant promise it, but if I find it, its yours ) Tune up Battery The Issues: Pops out of reverse when backing up longer than 20 feet ( Pretty sure it the shifter needs adjusting or replaced but cant guarantee that’s the problem ) Cranks Slow ( Needs bigger starter ) Slight Missfire ( Needs Tuneup )No Heat ( Heater Core is bypassed )No A/C ( AC works just needs charged ) Included but not installed: Nitrous Plate kit for Cobra Intake ( Just the plate, main feedline, nitrous filter, and the two solenoids ) Rear seats Trickflow Stage 2 Cam & Lifters Misc Hardware All GT body Panels for the Drivers Side This will be a great deal for someone looking for a good little project for a drag car. All the work done on the car is done right, as I am a ASE and Ford Certified technician. With a little work and TLC this will be a great car. I hate to get rid of it but unfortunately I don’t have any other choice in the matter. But would love to see this go to a good home where it will be taken care of. Thanks for looking and if you have any questions or would like additional pictures please don’t hesitate to ask. By the way, I just noticed in the pic of the interior it looks like there are two stains ( one on the drivers seat and one of the carpet in the passenger footwell, but those are both water from cleaning it up and not actually stains. The only part of the interior that has marks is where your feet sit on the passenger and drivers foot areas. On Apr-21-10 at 14:07:03 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been getting alot of message about how road worthy the car is. Mechanically, it is very sound and I wouldnt worry about it in the slightest, but the tires are in pretty rough shape ( bald and dry rotting ) and would not be safe for interstate travel. If you are not local, I would recomend bringing a trailer or Uhaul to pick it up to avoid any type of accident from the tires.
