Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This 1990 GMC Sierra stepside shortbed is a one family owned California vehicle since new. First the father, then the son and now me, the brother-in-law. Clear title in hand. First the bad. The AC needs a recharge. I have 3 cans of R12 I will include with the sale. I HAD 4, but when starting to charge the AC I broke the recharge hose clamp so I couldn’t finish it. There is surface rust on the cab roof and ugly primer on the hood and bed rail tops (original paint) There is absolutely NO rust through on the truck. Just surface from the lousy original GM paint job. I have a quote of $600 from MAACO for a full paint job with new primer on cab and hood, including painting inside the bed. The headliner sags, but is not in the way and is not ripped or torn. The panel will need to be taken down and the fabric re-glued. The radio works (not sure about the cassette, I didn’t want to take a chance with one of my tapes! J but has a hum) Small oil leak from oil filter mount (I have the gasket, remove oil filter, 2 bolts on mount and it’s done) To me, these are minor issues, that if kept I would fix, but I have another pickup and 2 cars of my own, so….. This one has to go Now the good. Complete Carfax documents included. It passed smog check with flying colors 1,000 miles ago, and I will have it done again per CA law prior to buyer pick-up, It has the bullet proof 350 V8, automatic transmission with overdrive that shifts smooth and sure as it should. Transmission has been serviced and flushed, as well and *I believe* has been rebuilt at one time (father in law is deceased). The truck is clean, clean, clean and unmolested under the hood and throughout. Original aluminum alloy wheels, All power accessories work well. (power windows, power locks, cruise control, tilt wheel, horn, heater, wipers, lights, etc., except the radio and AC as noted above.) good tires, (NOT weather cracked) with plenty of tread and thousands of miles left on them, new power steering pump seal, new oil cooler lines, new wheel bearings and seals front and back and new front brake rotors. New idler arms 1,000 miles ago. New 72 month battery Newer rear axels from a wrecked 1994 GMC 1500 that had 90k on the odometer. I also have new window channel rubber (not installed) Seats are not dirty or torn, though the driver seat padding is beginning to break down. I have receipts for everything I have done to the truck. A brand new unopened set of snow chains are included also. oil change and filter 1,000 miles ago. Trailer hitch is included. I have worked to insure that this truck is dependable and safe to drive by putting over $1,300 into this truck in the last 2 months (along with lots of free labor from my mechanic friend). All receipts are included in sale. It steers true, the front end is tight and safe, brakes straight and true, has LOTS of power, though it gets aprox. 16-19mpg if you are conservative, and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. Hoses and belt (serpentine) are newer and in fine condition. It is, of course, a 20 year old truck with 231,300 miles on it, so it is sold with no guarantees expressed or implied. You are more than welcome to come see/test drive it before bidding and as with any used vehicle I would encourage you to do so! The winning bidder will be required to pay a $500 non-refundable deposit with the balance due before or upon pick-up. The truck is currently located in Burbank, CA.
