1997 Acura CL 2.2 VTEC Manual 5 Speed (Very Rare), Custom built turbo kit using a T3/T4 turbo, fully built motor by South Florida Performance, Front mount intercooler kit, Greddy E-Manage (Blue Box), AEM Wideband 02 to Air Fuel mix gauge, Greddy R Type- BOV, Apex-i 2.5" stainless catback with a nice deep sound. Turbonetics Evolution wastegate set on 7lbs of boost for reliability and MPG but can handle up to 18-19. (I will leave that to your discretion.) I purchased the car about 2k miles after the motor was built and completed by SFP. I completed the break in process using only high metal content VR racing oil. It could use some dedicated tuning on the dyno to achieve maximum performance potential, now that it’s well broke in. I like the uniqueness of the manual in a luxury coupe along with the Turbo SOHC VTEC built engine, which I have never seen in a 1st gen CL. It's fast as it is for a CL as it will run down Mustangs even on the mild 7lbs of boost. The only real motor issue I have noticed is an exhaust manifold gasket leak, needs replacing - really cheap item but more labor intensive then I am interested in doing as it disappears shortly after running for a few minutes. Just starts harshly when it’s been sitting overnight.. but it fires up fine with a little throttle. Suspension- KYB - AGX adjustable dampers, Progressive lowering springs, Slotted and drilled rotors up front, all stainless brake lines, strut braces, 18x7.5 Icon black Le37 look alike wheels with polished lip, staggered sized tires- 215/40 front 225/40 rear. This set up gives it a rear wheel drive style aggressive look. Cosmetically the car could use paint freshening on the hood, it isn’t terrible just missing the factory gloss. I did have the front bumper and trunk lid repainted. The body is very straight with just a couple of little door dings. The roof has a small spot of rust which was sprayed with rust killer and touch up painted with the factory paint (included). Very rare JDM factory front lip. The car has refreshed headlights, has some new smoked clearcoat on the plastic. I have also installed 8000k HID kit which really helps the night vision over the old halogens. Factory rear spoiler and silver matched side sills. Interior is clean, needs a new driver's seat or keep the leatherette seat cover I put on, looks fine. The center console has a few scratches and the carpet has a few stains. Couple of the plastic pieces has screws holes from different electronics (radar detector, fire extinguisher, strobe controller) that the original owner had and I removed. Drivers door is missing the mesh cloth speaker cover and there is a cut in the leather door arm rest I covered with a piece of cloth. Dash, wood, switches, (power locks only work from the driver's side) moon roof works perfect, just needs some new weather-strip around the roof panel (doesn't leak). It has a nice Sony head unit and 6 speakers but only the rear deck is working, probably just wiring… I have been very picky here to give a very honest picture of the car, really the parts and built motor/turbo kit alone are worth what I am asking by themselves. It's really a great car that runs great and could be a really hardcore GT luxury coupe with a little tuning, and very little reconditioning. I have used this car for everyday commuting and it has been great to drive, only reason I am selling is a new baby and would like a family hauler instead.
