Vehicle Detail
1971 MGB. Garage kept. This is a fabulous driver - just in time for the great weather! Always turns heads. Cruising at highway speeds is a pleasure. Here are the things I've done to make it a great roadster. In the front end it has new king pins, V8 lower control arm bushings, sway bar bushings, trunions, shocks are good. New tires, P19560R14 Falcon Azenis, and front end alignment. New starter, battery and alternator last year. Updated relay kit to run Halogen headlights. Updated cylinder head for running unleaded gas was installed about four years ago with Harlon Sharp roller rockers and all new valves. (Compression at the time was 120 across the board so the lower end is stock). Euro-spec distributor with Pertronics electronic ignition that has been re-curved by Advance Distributors for the five speed transmission. Professionally rebuilt and re-jetted SU carburetors with K&N filters. Patriot ceramic coated performance header and Ansa exhaust system. Front and rear brakes with wheel cylinders and master cylinder were done last year. The interior has new seat covers and a 1969 steering column and steering wheel as well as 1969 taillights, (my preference, I think they look better and I still have the original set up) I've installed a five speed transmission from a 1985 Nissan 300ZX and has a new clutch pressure plate and release bearing. Original trans and clutch parts available for the purist - car not cut up for swap. Painted by the previous owner just before I bought it. Floor boards are good, no major rust issues. I'd like to keep the car but it's time to downsize. All the spare parts I have will go with the car, original cylinder head (not cracked) transmission, tail lights, steering column with steering wheel, twelve inch electric fan, many new bushings and parts I collected over the years. I will try and answer any questions you might have. Thanks for looking...Vic
