This is a RELIST because owner (my husband) was out of town and I was unable to answer the many questions posted to me previously. Main questions were about the numbers of the bike and because 2 previous bidders were wishful dreaming and did not have the $$ to purchase. SERIOUS INQUIRIES AND BUYS ONLY.PLEASE DO NOT WASTE MY TIME. IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD IT, DON'T BID OR BUY THIS. Here is the answer:This bike was a barn find from Massachusetts. I bought it from my roommates father who was a professor at UMass. He drove it to work for years as his daily driver then decided to retire it. When I found the bike the engine was in bad shape so during restoration I decided to swap it out for a rebuilt R50 engine. The frame was a R60 US front forks. Currently it has a rebuilt R50 engine. I shipped the bike to California and then restored the bike from ground up 20 years ago. It was my weekend ride that started a passion for BMW/2 bikes which since then I have owned several. I didn't like how the US forks handled so I replaced them with a set of Earl Forks. Frame Vin #1815274Engine Vin #642768 and ORIGINAL AD:This BMW originally had US Forks, I upgrade it to a set of EARL FORKS in the last restoration. Since the Earl Forks came off of a R60 from Germany - so the numbers do not match. The tank is a 9.5 Gallon ERNST HOSKE Tank. I've owed many Heinrich and Hoske tanks, bar far this one is the most beautiful I've seen and owned. Extremely rare find that is worth good money by it self!The rims are powder coated black and the bike is sporting a RARE Tachometer. CASH preferred by private owner.No scammers.
