Vehicle Detail

Authentic, 100% original Saleen Extreme #131 of just 224 Extremes produced between 2006-2009. Faster and better balanced than the front-heavy Shelby GT500 that was released at the same time or even the current GT350 Mustang. Styling-wise, more muscular and refined than the Roush, in my opinion, it's no contest. For those that don't already know, the Extreme is the only Saleen with forged aluminum heads and pistons to support the factory supercharger boosted to 15psi and producing 550hp bone stock. It also comes with a 6 speed manual tremec transmission and the big 15 inch brakes upgrade. 13,xxx miles - tires still have nipples on them, no wear on seats, leather always conditioned. Paint was ceramic coated in November prior to hibernation in climate controlled garage. Carbon fiber front splitter and rear diffuser ($2.3k+ a piece from Saleen) are in perfect condition with no road rash whatsoever. These Extremes rarely go for sale; at the time of this posting, mine was the only CLEAN one on ebay - no engine "modifications" or "upgrades", no painted wheels or knock off decals. This car does not need upgrades, it is absolutely perfect exactly as it came from the factory. With the new Saleen models coming out, prices are starting to go up for the rare and limited production models such as the Extreme. Very few authentic extremes ever available for sale and this one is offered well below NADA (North America Dealers Association) Guides market value; offered at a very competitive price to the supercharged versions that come without all the performance goodies; and trust me, you want the BIG brakes and the extra boost.https://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/2006/Saleen/Saleen-Mustang-S281-Extreme/2-Door-Coupe/Values Selling because it is simply too much power for me. I prefer 80's and 90's highly mechanical cars even though they are underpowered by today's standards but I simply could not resist the opportunity to buy this one when it came available for sale. It's beautiful and the engine whistles like a bastard; you think you're taking off in a jet plane every time you turn it on, it's incredible just sitting there at idle. Power-wise though, it's all too much for me - you have to be really present and focused when you drive this thing. If I sneeze in 3rd gear, the wheels spin out - thank God for traction control. I'm a back roads cruiser kind of guy and I'm looking to get into a Ferrari 348 or 355 (have cash to add if someone is interested in that trade, otherwise I'll sell to raise the funds). The metal triangle bit mounted under the front bumper / over the front splitter is the sto & sho license plate holder. There are no holes on the bumper for license plates, as it should be. The sto & sho is easily removable by pulling a pin. Look them up.
