Vehicle Detail
This 2008 BMW (E60) V10 - M5 is a beautiful specimen. It is the year BMW did the refresh of the interior/exterior. LCI headlights and tail lamps, interior door panels and so forth. It does 0-60 in 4.2 seconds, this one has about 520 hp and does 200 mph. (Although I have never gone that fast.) It's a heavy car and weighs in at just over 4000lbs but is extremely light on it's feet.I'm in the Auto Industry. I own a company where we photograph 1000s of vehicles every month all over the country. We see E60 M5s come through all the time that are a total piece of sh*t. I know my opinion is biased, but I haven't seen an E60 M5 in this type of shape and with knowledge that the vehicle has been serviced perfectly.I've done my very best to keep it as perfect as possible. We have records for almost everything we've done to the vehicle in the 4 years since we've owned it. I'm ready to move on - pay off some student loans, and get a Porsche in a few years. If you're looking for the perfect affordable pre-owned E60 BMW M5, this is the one.I purchased the vehicle in 2013 with 36,000 miles from Audi Mission Viejo. I drove it as a daily driver for about a year and a half and it's since been in a garage with a cover (Cover included with purchase), used for special occasions, business trips, as well as a few spirited canyon drives. It's adult owned. I've spared no expense for service or replacement parts and it has never been beaten or "launch controlled" by me. My wife has been the only other person who has ever driven the vehicle. The V10 howls sounds that make your soul sing and make you feel like you're driving an F1 Race Car with Power Seats and Navigation. You will take the long way home every time.I'll try and share everything we serviced and or replaced and the approximate time/mileage and cost. I have plenty of records - although not all. I can search for anything/records that concern you. If you're serious about purchasing one of these vehicles - you must know about everything about these cars. It is an M5. Be on the lookout for everything listed below when purchasing any E60 M5.Much of the service in the last 25-30k miles has been done by a certified BMW Tech currently working at Audi Oxnard - One, because I'm in the Auto Industry and I know him personally, two, he gives me a serious discount on labor, and three, because paying full pop for BMW Dealers is stupid.Prices reflect parts and labor.- Premium Gas on every fill up- Oil changes have been done before or always on-time. The correct oil has been used for oil changes and oil as needed. Oil is always purchased from a BMW dealer. M5's like to drink oil for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - then drink gasoline while they sleep.- $1500-1700 - 4 Michelin Pilot Super Sports have recently been replaced (last 3-4000 miles) See photos- $1900 - M5 Alternator by BMW of Beverly Hills (37k miles)- $5600 - SMG pump replaced by Concours Motors (Very Reputable German Auto Repair - Ventura, CA at about 63k miles)- $1300 - Oil Cooler and all components by BMW Tech (74k miles)- $1200 - All 10 Cylinder Coils by BMW Tech (74k miles)- $1000 - Rear struts by BMW Tech (65k miles)- $2200 - Front and Rear OEM Brakes, Rotors & Sensors by BMW Tech (65k miles)- $250 - E-Brake assembly by BMW Tech (65k miles)The only after-market parts on this vehicle are: -H&R Springs from Turner Motorsport installed by BMW Tech when the rear struts were replaced-10mm Spacers on a four wheels installed by BMW Tech when Springs were installed-Corsa exhaust from Turner Motorsport installed by BMW Tech when Springs and Spacers were installed - Sounds perfect, not too loud - the perfect note!-M5 rear badge replaced by me (The old one faded)A few items that could use attention.1.The soft close door on the passenger door hasn't worked since I've owned.2.The driver's door mirror is fadedAs you can see this M5 has been extremely well cared for. I know a "BlueBook" value for this car is less than what I'm asking for it, but the SMG pump replacement alone handles the additional cost. If you are in the market for this car and it has 70k miles and the SMG Pump has NOT been replaced, you're asking for trouble. Couple that with near new tires, brakes for the next 35k miles and everything else, this car is worth every penny of $22,500. A BMW enthusiast would tell you that. The price is firm. When you come to see the vehicle, I drive you. There will be no joyrides. Proof of purchase before we take a ride please! In all seriousness, I'm hoping this car gets a good home with someone who cares enough to drive it well and take care of it. You won't find another 2008 E60 M5 in this type of shape and care with 74k on it. Ebay allows only 24 photos - I have about 50+. Text me your email and I will send them to you.Call/Text 860.508.0692 Thank you!
