This is an auction for my Saturn SL1. I bought it 2 years ago, as a temporary car when my last car broke down, but it has just kept running, so I kept using it for my daily commute. It does have a problem with the gearbox where the torque converter clutch will not engage and it slams in to high gear. I am told that it is the valve block. I got a replacement one, but have not had the time to fit it. I have been using the car in this state all the time I have had it and it goes well enough for my purposes. Everything else apart from the radio (no aerial) works including the AC and the cruise control. The only significant corrosion I can see is under the plastic trim on the rear door sills (see photos). The body panels are polycarbonate. It has had regular 3000 mile oil changes whilst I have had it. I have changed the gearbox oil and the front brake pads and discs. It is very economical to run.
