Vehicle Description Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that...  I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knoweldge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a very low mileage 2003 Volkswagen Passat GLX with the desirable 5 speed manual transmission. I would rate the exterior of this Passat to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking sedan. It is finished in Silverstone Gray Metallic over matching Gray leather interior. The gray exterior shines nicely and looks smooth all around. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about as you walk around the exterior of this Passat. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the trim and moldings are present and show well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a matching set of Michelin Pilot All Season tires. Pride in ownership shows throughout this hard to find Passat. Please take your time and check out each of the photos to see how exceptionally clean this low mileage Volkswagen came in. I would also rate the interior of this Passat GLX to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean, too. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. Both front seats are heated. The leather seats also show well for their age and are soft and supple. The power windows, locks, seat, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The optional rear sunshade also raises and lowers smoothly with no issues. Throughout the interior, wood accents give the cabin a refined and warm feel. The factory Monsoon audio system appears to be working properly and sounds good through the factory speakers. There are steering wheel audio controls, too. The optional Climatronic automatic climate control also appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The trunk is spacious and clean. Again, pride in ownership shows throughout this well optioned Passat. Mechanically, this Passat GLX appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.8L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not somke. Her road manners are good for an older vehicle. One of the first things you'll notice is that this Passat has upgraded suspension, which gives it increased handling and a more aggressive stance. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. You can feel a little play in the front bushings, which is normal for a lowered car. Steering and braking feel good, too. The V6 engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes trough the desirable five speed manual transmission are clean and precise, as they should be. This is a fun car to drive. Thanks to the upgraded suspension, it handles corners quite well but doesn't feel harsh. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. If you're looking for a stand up car with no excuses, this 71k mile five speed Passat GLX deserves your careful consideration. It's hard to find a nice B5 Passat anymore. Vehicles left longer than 14 days without prior written permission may be assessed a storage fee of $10/ day. Storage fees will be deducted first from any monies paid to Liberty Auto Exchange. Non-Paying Bidders: We take what we do very seriously and ask that potential bidders take placing their bid just as seriously. Non-Paying Bidders will be assessed a re-listing fee of $249. This fee is considered due and payable, without demand, to Liberty Auto Exchange on the 8th day from the end of the auction. Non-Paying Bidders will be reported to eBay, blocked from bidding on future auctions and may be referred to our Collection Agency for credit reporting and fee recovery. Fees and Taxes The only fee we charge is the $149 Administrative Fee that is also disclosed in the first sentence of the written description. Because we sell with NO RESERVE, we have no way to control how much (if any) money we make per vehicle. This fee helps us isolate a few of our fixed, per transaction expenses in a way that is fair to everyone. The winning bidder is responsible for paying all required fees to their respective state of origin. We are a PennDOT issuing agent and are happy to provide low cost title / tag services to Pennsylvania Residents. *For Out-Of-State Residents, we offer a PennDOT 30 day In-Transit Tag to legally drive your vehicle to your home state.
