Vehicle Description Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that...  I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta TDI with just 170k original miles. I would rate the exterior of this Jetta to be in BELOW AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. This Jetta is finished in Gray over Black leather interior behind professionally tinted windows, which is a good look. The gray finish shines nicely and looks smooth all around. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this Jetta, the reason it recieved the "below average" rating is some obviously visible body damage. While minor, there is enough of it that it is worth mentioning. The driver's door edge is creased. The trunk, fender and hood all sport a dent or two. There is also some visible damage to both bumper covers. All is purely cosmetic and will have no impact on your ability to use this vehicle. I think they add character...and are fitting for a diesel Jetta that you're probably planning to put another 100k+ miles on anyway. The body lines themselves are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a matching set of Pirelli tires with good tread all around. Please carefully examine each of the photos before bidding. I would rate the interior of this Jetta to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean. As with pretty much every MK5, the headliner sags. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. A full set of floor mats are included. The seats are clean, comfortable and show virtually no wear. The power windows, locks and mirrors all work properly. The audio system is original and sounds good through the factory speakers. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. (I've had this Jetta long enough to have driven it on a warm day back a few weeks ago) The trunk is spacious and clean. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this Jetta is an absolute tank. The turbocharged 1.9L diesel engine fires right up and purrs like a kitten high on catnip. I haven't noticed and leaks and the engine does not noticeably smoke. Her road manners are good. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. The turbo spools up immediately and provides smooth power when needed. There have been no idiot lights on during my time driving this Jetta. The desirable five speed manual transmission makes this Jetta especially desirable. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the five speed manual transmission are clean and precise, as they should be. This Jetta is a pleasure to drive anywhere. It has plenty of torque so you never really have to get into it around town...it just walks itself. Out on the highway, she cruises easily and drives as straight as an arrow. If you're looking for a reliable and efficient vehicle that can go the distance, this 2006 Jetta TDI deserves a careful look and your serious consideration. It is one of the last vehicles made before emissions completely ruined diesel cars.
