1981 VW Rabbit diesel pickup. This is for parts only; it is not a working vehicle. Buyer must tow vehicle. Body in good condition with no rust. With some work this could be a working vehicle. It would need a rebuilt engine, wiring harness (rabbits chewed up some of the wiring), tires, and other things as required by a vehicle in this kind of age and condition.On Dec-01-18 at 14:34:01 PST, seller added the following information: I have been asked a few questions along the way so, I would like to add some more information. As you can see I have also added a few interior pictures. The bed of the pickup is in good condition--meaning it is not dented up. It was actually covered with plywood for a lot of its "life". There are two tailgates. I am including both of them. The one is not pictured. It is dented up in one place and has all the interior hardware for latching the door. The reason for the discrepancy in the stated mileage and the miles actually shown on the odometer is that the odometer quick working. The pickup has been listed as non-operating in the state of California for about the last 12 years. The buyer of this VW Rabbit Pickup will received a signed registration ("pink slip"), giving them the ownership of the vehicle. As shown in the pictures, the tires are flat, and I am not sure that they will air up. Everything is still in the motor compartment. The clutch was never changed, and the transmission and differental are were in good operation when the pickup died. Since it was in the California sun, there is the typical sun damage that occurs from sitting out in the sun.
