Legit 1978 Corvette Pace Car. Please feel free to confirm off of the vin. Original California car with smog pump still installed (not working). Original numbers Matching L-82 engine (the rare one) still in the car. 83,xxx original miles. New dual piston rear brake calipers just installed and new Y pipes on the exhaust. Body and interior are in above condition for a 40 year old car. Black paint is showing some crazing and body seams are starting to show as well. That being said, the body lines and gaps are pure and right with no signs of any major damage anywhere on the car. A repair to the lower drivers side valance is noticeable. Perhaps to close to a curb would be my assessment. Interior has a couple cracks in the dash as well as one or two that were repaired somewhere in her life. Carpet is fine, door panels are good., Power windows work fine as do all the bells and whistles. Entire frame front to back top to bottom is near perfect with a nice coat of protective oil from the valve covers leaking over the years. ;) As you already know, these REAL pace cars were produced in very limited numbers and less than half were the much desired L82 cars as this one is. These are the next collectible corvette without question and have already been on an upswing the last year or two. You simply won't be able to buy one in a couple years for less then 15-20K. making this a great investment and fun little toy to tinker with for a bit.
