Vehicle Description Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that... I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out the nearly 60 photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2004 Volkswagen Beetle with just 117k miles. I would rate the exterior of this Beetle to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking Beetle. It is finished in Reflex Silver over Gray leather interior with a black soft top and alloy wheels, which is a good combination. The silver finish shines nicely and looks smooth all around. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about as you walk around the exterior of this Beetle. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. Aside from a missing right headlight lens, all of the glass and lenses are intact. The convertible top shows well for its age overall, with just some minor separation at the back window. The alloy wheels show well for their age and are wrapped in nice rubber with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Beetle looks. I would rate the interior of this Beetle to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards show normal wear but are presentable. The power windows, locks and mirrors all work properly. The dash and headliner are clean. The carpets show well for their age and are full looking throughout the interior. Both front seats are heated. The leather seats show normal wear for their age but are comfortable. The audio system is original and sounds good through the factory speakers. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. I cannot get the power top to operate. I will admit that I am not very familiar with these cars so maybe there is something I'm doing wrong... The cargp area is surprisingly roomy for a vehicle this size. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this Beetle appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.0L engine is an absolute workhorse that has been used by VW since 1993 here in the states and it is virtually indestructible. It doesn't like cold starts. It takes a few tries to get it running but, once you get it running, it's good. This is no doubt why the check engine light is on. It actually reminds me of my first Jetta back in the 90's. I did notice a brand new fuel filter in the trunk, so maybe that has something to do with it. I believe there is an oil leak but I cannot identify the source. I just noticed a bit of oil under where it was parked. I checked the oil level and it was fine. I'll also check it again to make sure it's still fine before the car goes to her new owner. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine makes good power and feels strong. As I said, these are virtually indestructible. The six speed automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints.
