1965 Fairlane 1 year only body with factory Radio delete. It has a great running 1965 289 that maintains perfect temp with no overheating also maintains good oil pressure. It has the 3 speed automatic transmission with dual exhaust and a fresh rebuilt Carb. This Fairlane was a project that was Taken off the Roads of KC MO in the early 90's and started restoration 2005 and put back into storage in 09 and then I bought it this year. What I've learned so far is the body is very solid with no bondo and has a very nice driver paint job with few imperfections. It has zero rust on the body and only a few surface spots underneath but NO weak areas, both front and rear seat need to be recovered. When I bought her I had no idea how she ran or drove or if anything worked. After playing with it the last few months I have found out the she can be road worthy with just a few things.1-- bleed the brakes.. She stops but it needs to be done... 2.... Change the oil and tune her up...3-- I have the matching Kelsey Hayes reversed chrome wheels for the front but the tires are to big so I threw these on to make sure the trans shifted fine. These will be in the trunk.... the trunk and doors need the rubbers. All this can easily be done in a weekend If I did it I would have to ask more money and sit and wait for the right buyer. This way ANYBODY who has any skills can do this. Its a actual Father and son or daughter project that doesn't take a rocket scientist to work on.
