This 1980 Honda Accord is a clean example in a classic period color with 127k and odometer shows 27K miles due to a 5 digit capacity. Powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four and 5-speed manual transmission. Sold new in California, this car spent it's life on the west coast. Recent service includes (2016) a fresh battery, belts, valve cover gasket, hoses, thermostat, and brakes along with a rebuilt carburetor, valve adjustment, tuneup, and fluid flush. The car is registered with a clean title. Engine, transmission and all mechanical has been full maintained and runs perfect. Original Hampstead Green Metallic color and matching plush green interior again in hard to believe condition. Straight panels line up well and show no dents or evidence of previous repairs. There is zero exterior corrosion thanks to a lifetime spent in dry, no salt climates. Photos show no bubbling in the fenders or rockers. Factory 13″ slotted wheels wear recent Kumhos along with stock beauty rings and original chrome Honda caps. Chrome bumpers are straight and shine well, and other bright work is exceptionally. Rubber caps and inserts look mostly even and show no major cuts or scuffs Windshield is flawless as is all other glass and plastic lenses throughout. The trunk retains a factory jack plastic paneling and its original grey vinyl liner. Inside, monochromatic upholstery and interior plastics present ultra clean. The headliner is free of damage and fits well. Custom floor mats were ordered to match the long-pile carpeting, which is also present on the clean door panels. Interior trim is in incredible condition. The stock wheel is free of splits, and the clear instrumentation includes a standard tachometer. Lights and gauges and everything works as it should. Upholstery is in good original condition, UV damage on rear seat drivers-side headrest is about a $500 repair to be 100% perfect. Simple switchgear is accounted for and a period correct aftermarket cassette deck looks at home in the center stack. The car was ordered without air conditioning, though power steering is equipped along with standard intermittent wipers and remote mirror. The 1.8-liter EK-1 inline-four was still equipped with Honda’s emission-controlling CVCC induction system in 1980, and was rated at 72 horsepower. New belts, battery, valve cover gasket, hoses and a thermostat as well as a valve adjustment, tune-up, and coolant flush (2018). The engine bay is clean and has been untouched. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual that operates smoothly with light clutch take-up. The car starts quick, runs strong and doesn't leak or burn oil. The floor pans wear heavy factory undercoating resulting in no corrosion on chassis parts. New front and rear brakes have been fitted, while the brake and clutch fluid have been flushed. The front end feels tight with good steering and shocks (2018). Both original owner’s handbooks, Factory shop manual, dealer advertising brochure, Dupont 1980 Honda Chip Chart and period correct Oregon front plate and front and rear license frames are included. Again, a total time machine.
