=== MUST read!!!! === 2000 Beetle for sale. AS IS. WHERE IS. This was my wife's vehicle. She has driven it about.16 years. The last 3-4 years several items have been replaced. To name a few: Alternator. Muffler. Catalytic Converter. Belts. Clutch. Brakes. Radiator fan. Thermostat. The motor runs perfect today... The costs for us just kept going up every year for maintenance and labor. This past winter the car slide a little and hit the curb going around a corner. The front right wheel tagged the curb and bent the rim. We have purchased another vehicle more apt for the winter conditions. So, the tire/wheel has been changed and we tried driving it. There is a regular rhythmic metal rubbing sound. The axle maybe bent, only guessing and have not had it checked. Suggest transporting it by trailer or tow truck until you have it checked out...
