Vehicle Description Hello and thanks for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I... am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2002 Volkswagen Jetta GLS wagon. I would rate the exterior of this Jetta to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking wagon. It is finished in Green over Black cloth interior. The green finish shines nicely and looks smooth all around. As with any older vehicle, please expect to find a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about as you walk around this Jetta. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood and doors all open and close easily. The button to release the hatch is missing and I spent exactly zero time fooling with it. I'm sure you can get it open if you put a little bit more time into figuring it out than I did. All of the trim and moldings are present and show well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well for their age and are wrapped in decent rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Jetta came in. I would also rate the interior of this Jetta to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean, too. The carpets show well for their age throughout the interior. Both front seats are heated, which is nice when it gets cold out. Heated leather is good, but heated cloth is sooooo much nicer. The driver's window button is broken, but the other power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is original and sounds good through the factory speakers. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. Like most MK4 Volkswagens, the glove box handle is broken. The cargo area is spacious and clean. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this Jetta appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.0L engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older car. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. While not a powerhouse, this 2.0L engine is nearly indestructible. I know two people who have run these completely out of oil, driven around with no oil pressure...and the engine was fine, haha. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. If you're looking for a low maintenance vehicle that is inexpensive to buy and inexpensive to operate, this Jetta should be at the top of your list. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
