1996 Mercedes E300 OM606 Diesel White with Grey leather interior. 51K Miles!! 135 Pictures in description Hello, this is my beautiful 1996 Mercedes Benz E300 Diesel non turbo. This is truly a collector quality car. It is polar white with grey full leather. It has lived a pampered life always garage kept and has never been smoked in. The exterior was only hand washed carefully and waxed. The leather is nourished and conditioned. This car has never seen snow or any bad weather for that matter. I have all original books, service records, factory unused tool kit and 3 original keys. I am also a Mercedes Benz master technician. I have over 18 years experience. This car has been serviced top to bottom and truly drives and shows as close to new as possible. Exterior- The paint and body are 100% original. There has never been any paint work or accidents. The body is virtually flawless I have taken over 135 pictures to show the quality of this car. The only thing I really could show is a tiny hair line scratch near hood crest no more then an inch but you might need a magnifying glass to see it. However, there is not a ding or dent and is 100% rust and corrosion free. This car is like a time capsule. Tires and Brakes- The brakes stop perfect with no noises or shaking, just around 95% life left. The tires are Michelin Primacy with 85% tread life left. That includes the full size spare alloy wheel with the matching Michelin as well. Interior- All I can say is the interior is like new. The leather is perfect. There are no cracks and no rips. It has been conditioned and kept like new. The car was always entered and exited with care making sure not to lean on the bolsters. The carpet and wood are also like new. I have the Original Mercedes carpet floor mats and original Mercedes rubber floor mats as well. Mechanical- The car drives like it came off the showroom in 1996. The engine , transmission and suspension all function perfectly. Every electronic function of this car works flawlessly. The car has Power seats, Moon roof, Power tilt steering wheel which all function perfect. The complete door lock and trunk vacuum system works perfect as well. The A/C is very cold and the heat is hot, the radio sounds and works 100%. History of car- I purchased this car from a close friend of mine who owned the car for years. He is an extreme collector and enthusiast. He owns over 30 cars that he admits to, but I am sure there is plenty more he will not tell of, in fear of his wife divorcing him. He only has the best of the best and he buys cars all over the world. Some years back he made an impulse buy of a couple of cars and really needed to liquidate some of his collection to fund and make room for his new cars. I was able to convince him to sell me this car. I am not a big collector but I am a huge Mercedes nut and I do own multiple cars. I have enjoyed this car and love it but I have some new ventures I am working on now. It is time for me to let the car go and have someone else enjoy it. Maintenance- This is a naturally aspirated OM606 6 cylinder diesel engine. This is a very reliable and extremely well built engine. As a Mercedes master tech this is one of my favorite Diesel engines ever. This is just a great running reliable engine with out the issues that can be associated to the turbo version. The car has always been kept up with all fluids. The oil was changed twice a year no matter what, driven or not. I have also went through this car with a fine tooth comb. To anyone who knows the Mercedes engines of the late 80' and 90's know the engine harness had issues with degrading. This applied to diesel and gas engines, I am preventive maintenance nut so I replaced the harness with a brand new factory Mercedes engine harness to be safe. I have also completely removed fuel tank to clean and inspect and followed it up with new strainer. I have replaced all 6 hard plastic fuel lines with new oem lines and O-rings and at the same time replaced pre-filter and main filter. I replaced valve cover gasket and all associated seals and O-rings as well as injector seals, Transmission fluid and filter. I completely flushed the coolant and replaced, I also replaced brake fluid and rear differential fluid as well. I have inspected all vacuum line and mounts. The battery is brand new as well with warranty. Just because a car is not driven does not mean fluid's last forever. All fluids and parts are OEM Mercedes parts. I have even saved the packaging from the Mercedes parts.I would also like to add that I of course have the original first aid kit and all jacks and tools that came with the car. PHOTOS AND VIDEO- I have to apologize for the poor photo quality these pictures do the car no justice. I unfortunately had to use my cell phone. Right as I went to take the photo's my camera decided to act up and the screen failed. I will also try to upload a video of the car running. If need be I have friends in the auto shipping business so I can extend a wholesale shipping rate and arrange all shipping for you to take the hassle out. If the new buyer would like to drive the car home you can feel confident doing so I would just need full payment cleared prior to releasing the car.
