Obviously it is in need of restoration but with such a low production number car, options of finding a worthy restoration candidate are slim. This one has has a very impressive option list. The car is still in its original Competition Yellow paint. There are a few touch ups but overall this is an in-tact original paint car. There are the obvious dents, dings, scratches and imperfections. However, there isn't much mystery to what lies beneath because its original paint. The body is still quite solid with rust mainly in the front floors and doors. Inside the original interior is very impressive. The dash pad is not cracked which is amazing. The factory upholstery on the seats still shows surprisingly well. Under the hood its 1970 all over again. The original, numbers matching, 429 Cobra Jet engine is still in place. It was parked in the early 80's and left to sit until now. The 429 appears complete and correct. We oiled the cylinders and turned the motor over by hand. The engine did stop. After removing a valve cover we found a broken intake valve on cylinder 2. With a bore scope we were able to look at the cylinder and it appears the cylinder wall is ok, but would need to be inspected to make sure. The engine still wears its original dual point distributor, heat shield, carburetor (with tag), valve covers and exhaust manifolds with lift hooks. The engine appear to have never been removed. The 4 Speed transmission is the original and still wears its original back up light switch and reverse lock out rod. The factory Hurst shift linkage is in place as well. There are 3 of the original styled steel wheels still on the car. They were painted but not restored. They are wrapped in brand new BF Goodrich Radial T/A's.
