Vehicle Detail

Awesome provenance. Apparently originally sold to Chrysler motors. Unknown reason why Chrysler bought it if true. I crowdsourced information from a Chrysler historian who said, it wasn't the hemi (designed around the same time) because there is no similarity. I had heard that from a GM engineer -- apparently couldn't be true. In any event, I know is that it was bought by a Chrysler engineer named Vaino Jack Vehko at 35,100 miles on November 10, 1967 in Royal Oaks MI after he rebuilt after whatever Chrsyler or prior owner used it for. I have is notebook including the time he drove it to Tulsa. See his wikipedia site. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaino_Jack_Vehko. There are no repair records from his ownership, obviously, since he spent his entire career at Chrysler as an aircraft engineer developing engines, guided missiles and then the Jupiter missile system and the Saturn 1-B booster. He did not everything he did to her. Student of Werner von Braun. Moved on to Space Division in New Orleans, Huntsville. He did another rebuild at 48,000 miles. Then sold it to Robert Talbot Stern who was Chrysler's lobbyist in DC on May 21, 1974 at 55,700 miles. Robert sold it to me in 1999 at 69,000. Robert moved from Michigan to Connecticut and then to DC. Robert Talbot Stern gave me this provenance. I've got no hard paper on where she was 1963 to 1967. Alfa paperwork from Milan says they shipped it to Newark in 1963. I attached a sample photo from Vehko's notebook. Robert kept complete repair records as have I. Comes with original manual and some sales stuff (see photos). Everything works -- probably could use new speakers for the original equipment AM radio. The rear brake light had to be re-wired because Alfa thought it was a good idea to run the original through the transmission. Only four years of production of this vehicle. -- this was the first year. Note that this has been a daily driver except that I have garaged since 1999 in Phoenix. Not fitted out as a museum car. But, everything works, everything original. Has expected wear and tear of original vehicle that has been used as a driver. As an example, the Pirelli spare tire has never been used but the Pirelli's on the car have about 15,000 miles. The rugs were replaced in 1969 at 45,770 miles. Nothing fancy. And, who would dress this up?
