Vehicle Detail
Brand new soft top and brand new MB TEX reupholstered seats. I had the car looked over by a Bosch certified mechanic. There were a few updates performed, however, there were no major mechanical issues. This car held up very well for 32 years, and runs great. As with all older classic vehicles, they are NEVER perfect. I do NOT claim that this car is flawless. I do not drive it much at all. It sits in my garage with a once a week start up.The air conditioner works, but does not blow cold air. The heater works fine. I am including an aftermarket radio/cd player/mp3 player with Bluetooth. It's a Sony and its made to fit in the 560 SL. I have the wiring harness as well. It is not installed. The current radio does not work. There are a few notable cosmetic anomalies starting with the crack on front lower valance. It is visible in the last picture. There are a few rashes near the hard top lid. It seems that a previous owner or owners had difficulty in removing or replacing the hard top. It is definitely a two person job. Once it's removed, you have access to the soft top, and you can freely choose between the top up or down. Also, there are some areas of sun fading on the carpet. This can be corrected by using carpet dye. There are plenty of websites dedicated to the 560 SL's in updating the cosmetics. The middle console shows some wear, as well.I have the original tools that came with the car, along with the original first aid kit, manual, and hard top/soft top hand tools.I have a few records, since the car has been in my possession, pertaining to maintenance and other notable repairs. One thing to note is the title lists the odometer as exempt. In the state of Pennsylvania, cars that are over 10 years old, especially classic cars will have odometer exempt listed on the title. The car currently has 152,400 miles.(odometer in perfect condition!)In my research, I have come to find that the 560 SL is becoming a sought after classic car. I believe it is, or will be a collectors vehicle. There are no major mechanical issues. There are some light scratches and blemishes on the hood, but still shines up nicely. The dashboard has very few cracks, but still looks great. The windshield is original and has a few tiny road chips from previous ownership. This car has only been owned by three people and the title is in my name.I do not offer a warranty and am selling the car as is, so please bid with this knowledge. The buyer is responsible for pick up or for shipping. Please note the payment options. Should you have any more questions, please shoot me a message!Happy bidding, and good luck!
