This is a wonderful XJ that has been a daily driver last few years. I'm a musician and used it to haul gear around Charlotte area. I've never taken it off road. I picked her up from a mechanic in Raleigh, NC who tinkered with it time to time as a hobby. The engine runs strong and overall it is in great condition. I spent $1800 when I got it 3 years ago on all kinds of small stuff he suggested, flushing transmission, leaky seals, etc.. There are several things to be aware of:1. Dent in back corner of body, a uninsured hit and run. 2. Needs suspension work, as it can wobble at high speeds. Tie rods, shocks, struts, and tires will be needed in near future. The suggested repairs are listed on the paperwork I mentioned above, and I will post.3. Radio doesn't work, guy modified electric set up to do auxillary stuff, yours to solve.4. Center console cover and rearview gone, as typical in these older Jeeps.5. Missing plastic interior light cover6. Stains on seats and carpet7. Negligable oil leak typical in these older Jeeps.8. Electric door locks DON'T work. I added videos below. I am currently unable to find the paperwork I had hoped to show and prove, but Griffin Brothers here in Charlotte did the work on her. Like I said, other than the suspension this Jeep is solid. I'll keep searching for it. I keep getting questions and offers.
