Vehicle Detail
This is my 1960 Morris Minor Panel Van - LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle), which is looking for a new home. It has a clean title in my name. Go to You Tube and paste in this link to see a 12min video of walk around and a short drive, or just copy to your browser to find it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nfQ4dzoLSY I've removed some photos and added more of the underside, if you want photos of any particular part, please contact me. For those of you who questioned the missing passenger door handle,,, it is on the car. The photo first shown was from when I first purchased the vehicle. All photos except the first with the Healey next to it are current photos. This type of van was originally used in the UK for mail and postal deliveries. I've used this on a regular basis as my mobile repair vehicle for my British Car Repair business for the past 9 years. Prior top that I was told it was used in NC by a Florist. It's a reliable vehicle with several modifications. Prior to my purchase in Dec 2009, it had a Datsun 1400cc engine with a Weber downdraught carb fitted, together with the Datsun 5 speed transmission, MG Midget disc brakes and a MG Midget axle. The interior has been modified, with seats from a Honda and the gauges are from a Toyota. The wheels/rims are 13", not the original 15" rims, they are from a Chevy Vega, and includes a spare. Some of the photos showing the transmission and the repair to the floor pans are from early 2010 when the transmission had new bearings fitted and the floors and inner and out rocker panels where replaced. I have posted additional photos of the repairs, showing various stages of the floor fabrication and modifications I made to the transmission mount. The body is painted in a mild metallic white, while it looks good in the photos, it could really do with tidying up as some filler and chips are evident on most panels. The side panels have blistered or have been marked under the magnetic signs that I had on the vehicle for 9 years. The car drives well and had regular maintenance over the last 9 years including a new radiator and hoses, Battery, Fuel Pump, and an electric fan has replaced the original unit. While upgraded from an MG Midget the brakes could really do with an improved Master Cylinder having more volume and may be a Servo unit. The speedometer isn't accurate, it's never bothered me enough to worry about it. I have averaged 3k to 5k miles each year in the van, so your not getting a vehicle that's been stored for 10 years, its been driven,,, I suppose you could say ":used and abused" as it was my work vehicle. I have no idea what the original mileage is as I don't have the original speedometer, current mileage reads 109,906. There's a built in Tow Hitch/Receiver in the center of the bumper which I've used for small garden type trailers. The rear bumper is solid enough to use it to lift the rear of the car up making rear wheel maintenance easier. Please note:- IF YOU BID, YOUR BUYING, THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION If you have any questions please do contact me.
