Vehicle Description Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differenlty than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that... I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 60+ photos and read this entire description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1997 Chevrolet K1500 truck. I would rate the exterior of this K1500 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking truck overall. It is finished in Medium Royal Blue, which is a nice looking color and the finish shines nicely. There is visible fading on the hood from age, which is common. This truck also gets points for how clean the body is and the lack of body rust. As you check out the photos, be sure to note the lack of body rust. However, this truck loses some points for damage that is visible on the RF fender. I believe the damage is more than cosmetic, though. I am pretty certain that something in the steering or suspension is damaged, too. I looked under it and didn't see anything obviously wrong, but I'm not an expert on old Chevy trucks. However, you don't have to be an expert to realize that something is wrong when you drive this truck...but I'll get to that later. The windshield is cracked and will need replaced before this truck will be able to pass any state safety inspection. The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber with average tread all around. The bed is clean and looks solid. Please, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would rate the interior of this Chevy to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The interior is pretty basic. The cloth seats show well for their age and are comfortable. The door cards are clean and tight. The windows roll up and down easily. Behind the front seats is room for additional passengers or gear. The radio is original and sounds good. This truck is equipped with air conditioning, but it does not blow cold. The heater works well, though. The floor is rubber, which holds up well and is easy to clean. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this truck feels fine but will definitely require some work. The 350ci V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Something sounds loose in the steering, though. What's more, there is play in the steering and you have to hold the wheel noticeably far to the left to go straight. If you let off the wheel, it pulls sharply to the right. I've not taken this truck out on the highway, On the back roads around my warehouse, I've had it up to 60mph and it was not hard to drive or keep under control...just know that something important is definitely not right and I'd think twice before driving this truck on the highway. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts perfectly with zero issues. The 4WD system is also tested and working properly. I know these trucks are pretty simple to work on so finding one that isn't all rusted out probably makes it worth fixing. I'm just not set up to do it myself. If you're looking for a clean truck in a hard to find color, you should give this truck a good look. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
