1975 Datsun 280Z is an excellent project car with 126,098 miles. This auto has had several modifications done to it but it still needs some work to to be completed. This is a California and is virtually a rust free car as shown in the pictures. This car has been stored in a climate controlled garage for the last 14 years. I was going to build this car but unfortunately it now is must go. The car and all the extra parts mentioned in this ad will be included in the sale. This car was originally that medium green metallic. A 1978 hood with vents was installed replacing the non-vented hood. About the year 1990 this car was stripped and painted black. At that time there was absolutely no rust or body damage to the car. Also, a fiberglass air dam and a rear spoiler were added at this time. New shocks were installed and the body was undercoated. Modifications to this car include a dash and all instruments from a 1978 were installed. Unfortunately, as is a frequent problem with these cars is the dash weather cracked. So the current dash has a full dash cover over it. I have another dash in very good condition which will be included with the sale of the car. See picture. The dash is not perfect but it is in very good condition. The original instruments from this vehicle will also be included. The rear hatchback deck from a1978 car was installed which raised the rear deck. The crash bumpers were removed and the bumpers from a 260Z are in the process of being installed. The bumpers were re-chromed. The front bumper is on but not completely attached. The rear bumper center portion is installed and the ends have yet to be put on. The end pieces are in the last photo. The standard engine was removed and replaced with a 1982 280ZX Turbo engine about 18 years ago. I bought the entire car and drive it from Oklahoma to Wisconsin and it was a very good running engine. The engine has never run since being installed as the car is in the process of re-wiring. The wiring harness and black box from 280ZX Turbo are included. The exhaust system is done back to and including the catalytic convertor. No rear piping or muffler is included. The car has a 5-speed transmission from a 1978 280Z. The fly wheel was re-surfaced and a new Centerforce performance clutch was installed. The car has the seats from the 1978 in it. These seats were recovered and are worn badly. A set of original seats which I believe were from a 1975 will be included with the sale. Not sure of the model year of the seats for sure. I have another set of rear window louvers which were on my 1978 Black Edition 280Z and a urethane air dam which will be included in the sale. Np pictures included.
