Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my nicely optioned 68 Corvette coupe. Equipped with its numbers matching 427 c.i. Tri-power engine. The motor, has under a 1,000 miles on it since rebuild as does the clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, etc. The engine has a rebuild stamp on it and though the block was decked, The last 4 digits of the vin are clearly visable on the block.A very extensive rebuild on the tri power was just completed with many new parts and all original parts saved, boxed, and included in purchase. It could still use some fine tuning, but runs well for a 6 pack. Some options the car is equipped with include but may not be limited to... Headrest seats, speed minder warning speedometer, am fm radio, power windows, and telescopic wheel. A very high optioned car for the day. The bottom of the car is in excellent shape including every aspect of the frame. Never a patch or repair. Pictures to follow. She also has 4 brand new Chevrolet brake calipers and brake pads installed last week, as two were showing signs of seepage. The tires are new as well on the original 15 x 8 correct rally's. The interior shows very well on her. Though the door panels are new from ecklers, they really do not fit as well as I would like. The original date correct door panels come with purchase if someone would like to recover them. The carpet is in excellent shape as is the rest of the interior. Each seat does have a small imperfection. Drivers piping is wore as you get in and passenger seat has small (1inch) tear wear leg would sit. Please see pics. Body is overall in very very good condition. I would rate it as a 7 plus. There is an imperfection on the drivers side in the antenna area that a repair can be seen on. The other is on the passenger lip of where the hood closes. Approx. 1 inch where there is some paint cracking. ( guessing a tool was in the opening when the hood was open. Though the car is an original yellow car with black interior, this is a few shades brighter as the prior owner didn't care for the original yellow when it was refurbished. The car is for sale locally, so may disappear at any time during the listing. I welcome any and all questions regarding this car and if I don't know, will find out. I will deliver the car in the domestic 48 for $1.50 per mile enclosed at-purchasers expense. There will be many more pics added including bottom but these are what I had on my phone. Godspeed, PJ On Aug-02-18 at 15:47:31 PDT, seller added the following information: I posted a pic of the bottom, though it is poor photography, you can see there is no holes or rust to speak of on the bottom, just some surface rust which I believe is already off when they changed the brakes. Also, the original 61 amp alternator, the original steering wheel, original spare tire, original fuel pump and two of the original carb. bowls which were changed out do come with the car. If you want any specific pics please feel free to ask.On Aug-03-18 at 17:43:50 PDT, seller added the following information: here is the correct vin# and a link to roughly 100 pics of the car a few months ago. It has new brakes on it now, and the correct badging on the hood along with several other small items.http://www.sellitnowstore.com/ebay/5-20-2018/68corvette/68corvette.htmthank you again for looking
