Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 2006 BMW E60 M5, SMG transmission, 5.0 liter V10 engine with over 500 horsepower. Just over 116,000 miles on the odometer that will increase as I'm currently using as my daily driver. Indianapolis Red with OEM wheels, black leather interior, and tinted windows. The car runs and drives like it should, is extremely fast, handles and stops extremely well. At the time of production, most critics indicated that it was the best vehicle that had ever made. Although limited by computer restriction to under 160mph, this vehicle will exceed 200mph when the computer restrictions are lifted. Take the family on a comfortable trip in a 200mph car.... not many vehicles can do this. A large amount of preventative maintenance has recently been completed. Transmission maintenance = When I purchased the car it didn't shift quite right. After investigation we found the transmission hydraulic unit motor was starting to fail so it was replaced, a hydraulic unit fluid change/flush along with a transmission fluid change/flush were completed. The SMG transmission now operates 100% as it should. Engine Maintenance = The lower oil cooler was replaced with new due to a small leak at the connection flange. The connecting rod bearings are known for wearing out by this mileage and with an oil pan leak we decided to have these jobs completed along with the installation of a new vanos oil line (originals have the potential for leaking). Once the oil pan was dropped, upon removing the first connecting rod cap and accessing the bearing a new recommended aftermarket replacement bearing was found to be already installed. We can't imagine that anyone would only replace a single bearing considering all the work it takes to access and therefor made the decision not to remove any more bearings and safely assume all rod bearings have recently been replaced. The original oil pan was replaced with a newer revision oil pan containing 2 drains (allows otherwise trapped oil to be drained). A new oil pan gasket was installed and everything was buttoned back up. All new spark plugs, 2 coil packs and a weak fuel injector were also replaced. As a precaution the voltage regulator was replaced and a new battery has recently been installed. Suspension / Tires = Newer Michelin AS3 high performance tires have an estimated 5000 miles on them as there is large amount of tread remaining (the tires still have the little nubs on the sidewalls). Interior = The headliner was removed and recovered, the lower trim pieces wrapped in black suede. Other = The heavy OEM mufflers have been replaced with Flowmaster 3 chamber mufflers. I often receive compliments that the car sounds awesome while not being too loud, the original muffler tips remain in place. Brand new BMC brand reusable high flow air filters, intake scoops and block-off plates have been installed that provide more horsepower at speed. Updated kidney grilles and M5 badge on the back along with all new wheel, hood and trunk emblems. I have the original kidney grills and will be included with the car. I don't smoke and I don't smell anything weird in the car from any previous owners, there are no rips or tears in the upholstery either. The radio works as it should and all the gauge cluster lights work properly as does the digital IDrive screen. The active seat bolsters also work as they should. Known Faults: The AC recently stopped working, the ac compressor and pressure sensor were since replaced with new and the system recharged but still have no AC. The interior is in average shape for a car this old. The drivers seat shows more signs of wear than the remaining interior (no rips or tears, just the driver seat leather looks more worn than the rest). The control switch no longer works for the leg extension portion of the front seats but they can be pulled forward manually (common with many BMW's). The front lower drivers side bumper has scratches. The aftermarket fiberglass lip is cracked from scraping on a driveway (4 fasteners allow easy removal if you want to take it off). There is a very small puncture in the front bumper near the license plate but you have to get near it to see it. There are some rattles from the trim inside the car when driving but nothing unusual for a car of this age. The passenger side front window tint has some scratches on it also. Included are receipts for the majority of maintenance parts replaced ($500 smg electric motor, BMC Filters, pan gasket, vanos line, poly suspension upgrade, battery, voltage regulator, oil cooler, etc... one or two things may be missing a receipt) At the price I'm asking... if someone knows how to fix the AC, they will have themselves a very low priced M5 with loads of expensive maintenance already completed. I only accept cash or certified bank / cashiers check. I require down payment of $500 within 24 hours of auction end by Paypal. I will not accept the balance of payment through Paypal as they take too waaaaaay too much money out of my pocket with their fee's. I require full payment and the vehicle picked up within 7 days of auction end. If you need the vehicle to remain with me longer I ask that you contact me prior to bidding to make arrangements. No exceptions to full payment requirements. I have described the vehicle to the best of my knowledge, if I missed something I won't be held responsible as this vehicle is being sold in "as is" condition with no warrantee expressed written or implied. I encourage all bidders to come and inspect the vehicle in person prior to bidding. I will allow test drives with the full "buy-it-now" asking price in hand otherwise I'm happy to take you for a spin (basically I'm not letting anyone take a joyride). I also ask that bidders ask all questions prior to bidding. After the auction ends, you own the car and there will be no refunds due to buyers remorse. Sorry to be so strict however a minority of people require such disclaimers. I will assist the shipping company of your choice by making myself available to assist with vehicle pickup once I've received payment in full. Most shipping companies want the title with them so they have proof of ownership. If you want the title mailed to you immediately after payment is made I can do this but I ask that you make sure the shipping company will ship without an original title (maybe a copy is ok for them?). Anyway... I have ran into this minor hiccup with shipping vehicles in the past... I just ask that you look into it before it becomes and issue. The title is clean / clear in my name with no liens, salvage, repairable, or any weird designations. When I purchased the vehicle it had a carfax that showed no prior salvage history. I lost the carfax so I don't have one to show. You are more than welcome to access a carfax by using the vin number provided near the condition description section above. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time as this vehicle is for sale locally.
