Vehicle Detail
1969 Ford Mustang V8 Convertible Engine: 302 V8 engine was rebuilt 10K miles ago, where all machine work was done at this time. New pistons and rings, main and rod bearings. An Edelbrock 600 CFM Carb, Edelbrock Intake, Edelbrock chrome valve covers, performance camshaft and exhaust headers were installed. I have all receipts for this work. Recent tuneup with oil change Starts easily and drives nicely with plenty of power. New battery and alternator Carb spacer plate Edelbrock electric choke Fuel tank and fuel lines cleaned Electric fuel pump Accel Ignition coil Radiator re-cored New vacuum lines Transmission: 3 speed automatic transmission operates 100% correctly and shifts smoothly. Steering: Power steering with no leaks. Brakes: Power brakes with disc in front. Interior: The interior of the car is in excellent condition for a car of this year. New seat covers and foam cushioning have been installed. There are no rips in the seats. New door panels Has a parade boot that goes over the top in mint condition. The speaker grill on the dash pad has been repaired. Year correct Plad Trunk Mat in trunk. New Scott Drake Auto Shifter Bezel New heater control face plate New Scott Drake window cranks The amp, temperature and gas gages are non-operable. This has been traced back to the circuit board. They are $48.95 from CJPonyParts. There is a working temperature gage mounted below the steering wheel. The speedometer works great. Convertible top: Has a newer convertible top. The convertible top has no tears and has the folding glass rear window. The power for the convertible top operates 100%. I would recommend installing new weather stripping where the windows meet the top. Body of car: Front N.O.S Spoiler The Paint shines as shown in the pictures. It has been touched up by the previous owner in spots, however the touchup paint is slightly darker, therefore to make it perfect, I’d recommend re-touching it up and wet sanding the car. The passenger and driver's door on the bottom has a little bubble/rust spot, probably not seen in the pictures. Car really looks great for being nearly 50 years old and I took a lot of pictures so you could see how great this car really is. The trunk is in perfect condition, as seen in the pictures. The motor compartment is as clean as they get. Welded sub-frame connectors have been installed. Front chrome bumper is in great shape and rear has some pitting. I purchased replacement door hinge pins to firm up the door gaps and fitment, however have not gotten to install them, so will provide those to the buyer. Sound system: Radio has been updated to AM/FM/AUX Retrosound stereo with ipod hookup but looks like a classic radio to keep the look of the panel intact. Pioneer speakers. Wheels/Tires: 14” wheels with BF Goodrich Radial T/A with a full size spare All four tires have lots of tread. Story on car: I purchased the car a few months ago and have enjoyed it, however now we are buying a house and need to sell the car. Since owning the car, I replaced the shifter bezel and bushings, the window handles and had a tune-up with oil change performed. The owner before me passed away around 10 years ago and the car just sat in the garage until a dealer purchased it, who I purchased it from. I have paperwork for the car for the past 31 years, which show that thousands of dollars were spent on the car, so was well taken care of by the previous owner. This shows everything mechanically on this car has either been updated or replaced. All receipts will be provided to the new owner.
