1972 Lincoln Mark IV. First year produced and most sought after collector model year. Highly desirable white exterior, white leather interior, and darker blue accent dash/carpet. Exterior pin striping still looks factory new. Climate control and Cartier Clock works great. Has opera rear windows. Fully optioned for 1972. 31k mile vehicle. This is probably the finest existing example of original 1972 Mark IV. Never smoked in. Car has never been wrecked. Original paint, interior, and engine. Southern storage queen. No rust. Original owners manual, original set of keys, and all service records since new with miles documented. I've updated mechanics to enjoy driving it. Rebuilt carburetor, new manifolds (originals tended to crack w age), new exhaust just because I replaced manifold, updated electronic distributor, tune up, replaced plugs, wires, filters, steering components, etc.. Corrected rear-end drip (not easy task). Mechanic had to disassemble axle in order to properly repair fluid leak w a limited slip rear-end. NorWest Auto is a premier collector auto service company known throughout the US and performed all the work. Vehicle still has original pieces of plastic covering seats used to ship from factory. Dash is perfect. New battery and tires. Spare tire and trunk carpet has never been removed. Neighbor is a TV producer and used the vehicle in a few movies. Occasionally I leave the Mercedes at home and drive the Lincoln for a day or two. Always attracts attention. Wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. Mark IV is a piece of Americana car history.
